Does anybody know what the difference is between the two federal 595 rsr tyres in the link below? Are they available in different compounds, the cheapest being the hardest?

Also does anybody have any experience of driving these tyres on the road? I have heard they have a very stiff sidewall similar to a runflat? I will probably be driving 50/50 road and track. Thanks.

Looks like a mistake on the site, both appear to be same compound, order the cheapest one fast before they realise!

Yes hard side wall as do all track tyres, this is a bargain basement track tyre however & although a step on for track use Vs a road tyre its far from the best at the job, it is however usually the cheapest, very few tyres are as marmite as the rsr, some think it's awesome others rubbish. Some say good in wet others awful etc.

The cheap one is old stock - it has the DOT date 0214 listed in the description so it’s been sat around for four years since it was made. They’re discounting it to move the old stock.

It happens from time to time on some of the tyre seller sites and can be a good way of picking up cheap tyres if you know you’re going to use them up reasonably quickly.
