i track my daily driver ('15 FK2 CTR) and theres a fair bit of talk about which pads to go with. pagid RS29's being the preferred top performing pads.
as for discs, theres very little available; OEM discs (£140/ea) and either 2peice non-floating tarox or girodisc (both £800+/pair).
doing a fair bit of research into the rs29's, it seems theres not a small group of people who say they're not really suitable for the road/year-round use.

currently i run OEM discs with ProjectMu HC800 fronts, and Dixcel Z's on the rear for road & track use.

obviously having road & track brakes would save in the (very) long run - can pretty much go for OEM discs & pads for the road which is vastly cheaper than performance options.
what gets me is having over £1k of brakes sat in the garage for 3-4 track days/yr.

The thing that kills pads and discs on track is heat, if you can get a really good cooling set-up especially on the front of a fwd car, you can get away with a relatively moderate braking set-up with decent fluid.

With heavy cooling you may struggle to get performance pads up to optimal temps on the road, but unless you're running a really extreme compound there should be adequate stopping power form cold with most pads.

I have RS29’s on my 18 TTRS and they are surprisingly quiet on the street with good bite from cold. I would recommend. If they are anything like the pagids I’ve had before they will wear well too on the track/street. IMO good value for money.

RS29s are fine day to day, they can feel slightly wooden in REAL cold and can be a bit noisier but if you do a bit of googling you will find they "grip" better than standard pads from cold.
