Anyone here heading out to Bedford for the MSV track day on the 20th?
New on this forum but looks like a good group of track minded enthusiasts!
I attended one here back in May for the first outing of the TTRS and do love this track! Hard on the brakes though and prompted me to upgrade pads and rotors right away.

Trying to organise my partners and I to attend but may be too soon.

The car has just had a welded cage finished, not painted yet, so there is no dash, only a drivers seat and all instruments are held loosely in place by cable ties......I wonder if that will pass tech inspection..... 😁

Great, I’ll be sure to say hello! Have you had the M2 out on Bedford before?

First time out in the M2, but I've done a Bedford Track day once before so I sort of know the circuit.

I think the track will suit an M2; any mods?

Just front camber plates, PFC 08 pads, uprated brake fluid and some Pilot Sport Cup 2's!

Should be all set then! Cup 2’s are my next upgrade..just using up the Bridgestone SO1’s that came with the car and aren’t bad but looking forward to the sticky Michelin’s! I’ve used the original Cups before on a 996 and liked them a lot, cup2’s are supposed to be quite a bit better.

I'm going to try and be there most likely in a Clio Williams.

First time on Cup 2's for me, they're bloody awesome. Cannot wait for Monday! Will keep an eye out for you. Is it just a free for all when it comes to the pit garages?

Yeah, with MSV it is a free for all. Helps if you are out the briefing and in your car as soon as poss.
I’ve only been to Bedford once and did not get one until later in the afternoon. Great track and can’t wait also...first outing with the new brake setup!

👍😄..
I’m running Pagid RSL 29’s up front and stock in back. Really liking the feel on the road; they work well from cold and are rated to work at very high temps also. Not cheap at £500 for the front axle but if they are anything like the pagids I’ve used before they will last and are kind to rotors.
See you all tomorrow!😁

Any brake squeal on the road? The PFC 08's are great on track, but absolute murder on the road. Noise every time I press the damn brake pedal!

No, surprisingly very little squeal at all; only a bit when coming to a stop once the brakes are warm but no noise when braking at speed even if light application.

Good day today, some nice motors and a good turnout.

Track was closed briefly for a Subaru in the kitty litter, and a few yellow flags throughout the day but no major problems.

Yeah was a decent day! Never seen Bedford that busy. Glad I finally managed to get dialled into the car in the afternoon, wasn't getting on with it in the AM!

Light bit of rain made a big difference in the afternoon, 4wd was helpful.

A few TT’s on track, and a few race prepped track day specials.

I used a full tank of fuel and got 12mpg
