I noticed that Gold Track are running a track day on the full Silverstone GP circuit next week, on a day I happen to have off (public holiday in Poland, so my team is all AFK).

It is pretty spendy, but I guess it is worth it for the full Silverstone experience. Has anyone used them before, and are they likely to run a good day?

Cheers,
Ed

I also looked at this date, but it's as expensive as a day at the Nurburgring with DN. I know where I'd put my cash.

You inspired me to look further afield. It appears there is a track day (well, 4x25' sessions) at Spa on the same day, for about half the price. Eurotunnel is 40 quid and a hotel is probably cheaper.

It is a hell of a drive there from Bristol, but tempting biggrin

I personally would definitely do Spa over Silverstone any day.

I'm at Spa in November with Circuit Days. Half the price of the Silverstone day and it's a full, open pit lane. Silverstone is bonkers and shows they only want the wealthy to enjoy it.

Comparing Silverstone in the summer vs Spa in November is not really fair is it? Silverstone is £240 - £399 in November depending on vendor.

Silverstone is mega circuit, just did an RMA day again last week.

Final outcome of all this, I ended up getting a ticket to the 2nd Ashes test at Lords tomorrow. Not quite Silverstone, but should be fun.

Absolutely. Nothing to do with wealth, just down to supply/demand balance which dictates price ; time of year is a massive parameter for all tracks. £249 for Silverstone GP in early Nov seems great value with Circuit Days, which is not incompatible with doing Spa in the spring too. Both brilliant circuits.
