Woohoo, I've booked on.
Will be in a Caterham, so not ideal for such a fast circuit, but will try my hardest to catch up in the corners - and I'll keep out of the way of the fast boys on the banking.

We were just saying in the weekend at Brands races its a shame this place doesn't exist any more as I'd never been there, what a bonus to read about this, thanks for letitng me know PH.
Top work matey, see you there!

Work on 118dB static and all will be well! We've issued the limit, the main working rule we've been given is "No F1, nothing unsilenced"!
OK great. That sounds good, thanks for confirming

Worst case, they can ban me from any future track days there wink

Hi Ben. Is there any chance that drivers would be allowed to arrive around midday and have a one to one safety briefing instead of in the morning with the group? (I'm travelling a distance and can't rearrange my morning). And is it open pitlane, or would it mean a late arrival means you only get a limited no. of sessions?

Howdy. Can't see any drama with late arrival. Darren from DN can do a quick and dirty single driver brief on arrival I'm sure.

And... once there you can go for it. All open pit, no sessions.

Very excited about this. I missed out on the last trackday before it closed in 2018, so very happy to have another chance.

I won a few sprints there in my Clio, so I know my way round, but I expect l’ll be one of the slower cars on the day given the high noise limits!

Well done to all involved in making this happen.

I am booked in for the Friday. Drove Rockingham last November 2018, and thought that would be my last chance. Please be dry!

Really looking forward to this.

I've spoken with the team at Rockingham to arrange safety, medical and recovery teams and they assure me the track condition is as it was and swept regularly. Parts of the inner paddock are unavailable and there will be comms to participants around that later this week.

As confirmed, I'm the TDO and have current ATDO membership.

Excited isn't the word - I too thought I'd never get chance to drive it ever again so now need to decide what to bring!

I'm booked onto the Thursday in my MR2. Really looking forward to it as I've never done Rockingham before, although not quite sure my car has the legs for it on the straights!

Is there likely to be a photographer there and will the cafe be open or anywhere to get lunch?

I've booked but not received any info yet. I've never booked a trackday through mission motorsport before, is there a webpage somewhere i should be looking at to get access details, briefing time etc?

You will have had a confirmation with basic instructions when you originally booked - but fear not!
I've just drafted final instructions following my site visit and will email you directly tomorrow.

In answer to a few other questions above...
Cafe yes, fuel yes, naked laps no.

Morning all - it's Rockingham Resurrected week at last, hooray!

As per Darren's post above, briefs going out to all those booked on very shortly.

We have a tiny number of spots left for Friday 18th, a couple more for Thursday 17th, but all coming together really nicely.

As it's primarily a fundraiser for the charity by attending you're really helping us out, for which we're enormously grateful.

If you're wavering then get amongst it asap, won't be another chance!

Weather looking gleaming for both days too - hoorah!

That's a good question...!

There is an insurance issue (isn't there always?) for non participating attendees. Will look into it. A donation may fix it, wait out!
Hi, like stitches asked, I am also a local with a very long connection with Rockingham having helped to build the place and was also wondering if it would be ok to spectate and would happily make a charitable donation in order to do so?

Hi Rob. I've checked... the word is yes, you can!

You should state your business at the gate - park in the outer paddock behind the main grandstand and wander over via the tunnel.

Cheers!

Had a great time this morning in the mini roadster

My brakes were beginning to feel the length of the sessions so thought I should use a little more engine and gear box towards the corners with an early selection to assist slowing smile

Unfortunately this approach led to to a failure of the short shifter and a trip home on a flat-bed

Still enjoyed the day and would recommend anyone thinking of attending to grab last few spaces available for tomorrow.

The track is in exceptional condition and lots of space available for overtaking, with no noise limitations and the ability to bounce sound off the long banked walled sections for your very own personal "days of thunder experience"

I would have done a back to back day should the car be still operational
Will be a cheap-ish fix apart from time and inconvenience

Thanks to all the team and the venue for making this possible
