10th Nov with Javelin. Did it last year for the first time and it was a bit of a revelation, so many interesting corners and evelation changes.
It's a fantastic circuit and if you manage to link a good lap up It's very rewarding.

I didn't laugh

In fairness it was wet/dry/wet. Or somewhere in between most of the time. The M2 is probably not the best tool for consistency there!

Will be using my S this coming Friday at Cadwell Park.

Not surprisingly it is absolutely brilliant on track, (imho).. Will be fitted with my spare set of wheels shod with Triple 8’s

Modern(ish) Porsche dynamics are excellent and even the old 70s cars are very competitive on track thumbup

I'd rather go a bit slower in a stbox station car than not go at all when the primary track day car is out of action...so all of my cars have taken the title of track day car at some point...although can't find any track photos of the e46 330D, f31 320D, 16V Alfa 147, e34 520i, or Polo GT.

Had a nosey at your running costs and blog for the Z4 :-0

I've done 98000miles in a 3.0 V6 and dared not calculate the fuel costs, yours made me gulp.

Love the attitude of track everything and miles ain't nothing but a number smile

My man maths worked out that the Z4M was worth buying purely as running costs were half that of the e34 M5 biggrin

I really need to update the garage/blog as it's got more miles on it now, and I'm not sure if I've put the costs in for suspension, bucket seats, brakes...nor that I've sold the e46 330d and bought an F31 320D.

There might be a supercharger in there soon too!

Good bit of math there wink

Saw you updated your garage blog, gone over the £100k now, wouldn’t imagine it, nice to keep a blog, I think wink

The P1 has been taking trackday beatings it’s whole life. Bit compromised as a full on track car as I have kept the suspension original as it makes it really good on the road. Still it is fairly quick with 500bhp.

As 500bhp was proving a bit of a struggle for the poor old thing and about 1/3 of trackdays ended up with me coming home on a yellow fun bus or limping back with something broken I decided to get a more sensible track car last year.
Hyundai i30N, standard apart from wheels and tyres and does brilliantly. 4 trackdays in now, not a single issue and even if it does then the 5 year warranty on it cover trackday use smile

It is only 2-3 secs a lap slower than the P1 despite half the power and 200kg more weight!

It's still not complete, as I'll have to dig out the invoices for bits I've done over the last 3 years, as I've not really kept on top of it.

I'm definitely not putting on the cost of track days, track day insurance or Ring laps - as that might take it to £200k wink

Now I bet that is fun, and way faster than the converted roadcars on this thread.

Do you have a thread on here about the car?

Caterham R500 manages 51.55 around Brands Indy. Wonder how close that Swift DB 6 gets to FF1600 lap record of 49.96 ? scratchchin

I did Anglesey a couple of years ago, (Sadly not the track day). Made a long weekend of it.

Did all the local North Wales roads the day before the planned TD plus the zip wire. Crankshaft then snapped on my TVR the evening before the track day!

st happens……..

Are they doing open pitlane again now or is it still sessions only?

Open pit all day. Such a shame the cafe is so st compared to other tracks, it's seriously run down.

I was also at zipworld this weekend and was eyeing up the Monday track day but couldn’t get it off work.
Did you do the downhill trikes at the quarry? Miles more fun than the zip line!
