I dunno about that without a lot of mods. My mum's Fiesta Zetec would whip a production 911 from the 70s.

Santa Pod maybe?
I’m not sure any others have no restrictions. Some are higher than others and some have special loud days such as Donnington but they still have a limit. Would be best to get your car tested and see where is possible. It may just seem loud to you but be in limits. To my ears my neighbour and his mates cars are really loud but they both get on at Castle Combe which doesn’t have a particularly high limit.

Castle Combe limit is 100dBA static which they apply sensibly unlike some circuits whistle

Have you got a localish track? Go along on any trackday and you can get noise tested for free

^^^^^^^^^

A lot of circuits are 105 dB which is pretty loud.

If it is louder than that then it doesn’t belong on track! Local residents look for any excuse to get tracks closed down hence drive-by monitors as well.

The irony being that some track focussed cars with standard exhausts are too loud to go on track.

Would probably have been a different story in a GT Porsche, although Cadwell seem 'lenient'.

I was there Monday and passed the noise test with no additional silencer. Wouldn't have a hope anywhere else based, as once the exhaust valve opens its game over.

Anyway, in keeping with the thread, here's my favourite picture from the day:

My MX-5 NC 2.0, hasn't got a patch on some of the kit shown here but it's such a capable package that I've no desire for any other car to track. Well, not yet anyway.

MX5s are great track cars thumbup But you would be wise to consider better roll protection especially on an open car. I've been over twice but came away unscathed due to decent cages.

shame the guy who did the graphics on the spoiler got the Union Flag inverted !

Check each quadrant. top left the thickness of each bar should be 1 bar, 2 bar 3 bar, working round in a clockwise direction with the next quadarant.
It depends which side the of the flagpole you are viewing the flag from, so if the flags are intended to be 'flying' behind the car it is correct.
The colour on the other hand...;)

Decent roll cage saved his head. Not wishing to be alarmist, but otherwise there's reasonable chance he would be dead whistle

Very reasonable chance!

I've tracked TVR's with rollbars on scores of TD's but always thought that come an instance like that or less the bar would probably be ripped out at speed and that would be it.........Hence only 90% attack of my abilities smile

Not if the bar was properly secured to the chassis frame. But in an open car (or one with plastic top/roof), even a roll-over bar only offers limited protection.

This MX5 accident was started by another driver. Even 90% attack doesn't protect you from the actions of others.
