Hi everybody,

I'd like to know if some of you have a feedback to provide on alachi57's work especially on rear roll cages ?

https://www.alachi57.com/

He's selling on e-bay but he seems to be a true craftman (which is a positive thing for me), but as I'm in France I'd like to know if maybe he has a good reputation in UK ?

Because I'm driving my 206 GTI since now more than a decade on trackdays without safety device for some (budget) reasons.
But the rear roll bars that he offers for my Peugeot could be a good alternative to stay "road legal", or as a minimum to be quickly removed for french MOT that becomes more and more strict by the time...

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Peugeot-206-Roll-cage-t...

I tought there was already a discussion on these roll cages somewhere in the forum but I didn't manage to find it, but if there a more appropriate thread where to post, please just advise.

Thanks a lot for your help !

He lives just up the road from me.... he is a straight up guy.
He has made me 2 cages for 206 track cars. They seem well made and fit easily too. Very robust.
They do make fitting harnesses easier. You can leave the head lining in and seats fit with no problem.
You will be fine...I know several other that he has done stuff for and they are all happy too..

Are your cages half or full ones ? Would you have pics ?

They are both half cages.... we are not serious track day goers. They are as the advert. Do you want pictures of something specific?

I'll be interrested in pics of the fixation points (brackets) and of few the welds to have an overview of the quality of the work.

Have you felt a difference in the stiffness of the car after its installation ?

Do you know other PHers that are using his cages ?

Thanks a lot !

Ok will sort you some pictures out..
They are a good price I think, he certainly has low overheads.
I know a few who have them...they seem happy. Not sure it adds that much stiffness..you just hope that it gives you a little added protection if you run out of talent.

Thanks for that.

Another question is it easy to install ? As I will have to remove it every 2 years to get to the french MOT...

If I only have to remove front seats, that sounds great to me.
