Not one person has said Mallory rotate
It’s OK and worth doing, maybe not as regularly as some of the others.

A slightly more posh version of Blyton.

i did mallory as my first ever trackday, some 10 years ago. intimidating at first, but by the end of the day i was overtaking round the outside of gerrards with the rest of em. never felt the need to go back - its only really got 5 corners!

This will be my second time this Friday. Will do it in my 1.8T Skoda which is ideal for that track.

It’ll be a nice prequel to Thruxton that I’ll do on Monday in my Boxster

Mallory's a great little track, went for the first time a couple of weeks ago, really enjoyed it. Not saying I'll go every 5 minutes, but as a cheap day out at a track you can have fun at, it's well worth it.

That said, if you've got a car with decent power I can imagine it's not that fun.

I think, if my options were mallory or nothing, ill do mallory. But if any other track is available, ill do that instead! And even in full summer season blyton is always available for cheap, so mallory never gets a look in these days.

Mallory is fine for a Mickey Mouse circuit. But it's well down the list of "best tracks". I'm not too keen on Brands Indy for similar reasons.

I think Brands Indy is an iconic little circuit.

I agree that Mallory certainly is far from top of the list of circuits although it is a reasonably priced track day which is far better than not doing a track day at all!

Back to the top......in a Clio 182 Cadwell Park, with its 13 corners in 2.1 miles, fast bits and slow bits, hills and interesting bends is IMHO the best track in England. Just so much variety and a fun track.

Here's what it looks like from an MX5. Ignore the TVR in front, driver was asleep.

MX5 2.5 Turbo lapping 1:49 is quick. Would have been quicker without that TVR getting in your way.

Funnily enough, when we swapped places and I chased him in the TVR, I had exactly the same problem, just at different places on the track.
We both passengered in each other's cars and agreed that they were about level on time.

Looks decent to me if it still needs work, looks really quick and a lot of fun!

Was it this one btw? Looks fantastic: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/115368634993

You're not the first person to point that out. I don't always do it, but hanging onto the tunnel with my left hand is a bad habit i guess.

That's the one smile

I've done nothing much to it since buying it. Took it out on the road to make sure it's not falling to bits, kicked the tyres. The fronts have a date stamp from about 10 yrs ago, so they're a bit beyond their best!
