Cubot Compact Android Phone

I know there has been a few threads on here previously from people looking for a more compact android phone but with modern specs.

Just thought I’d link to this which has gone in global sale today https://cubot.net/pocket-global-launch.html

You have to order from AliExpress but for £107 it looks a great little thing.

I am surprised that more major android handset manufacturers no longer produce a phone in this size.

I’m surprised too as I had a redmi 9 and it was massive. Real pain in the bum. Currently using an original iPhone SE which has a 4” screen and loving it so hopefully this new phone will suffice

That looks like the best one yet, but they need to just nick the styling off a mainstream device and lose some more size. It's far too thick and could lose 10mm of height and width without any problem.

My S20 is 8.8mm thick, my Tab S8 Ultra is 5.5mm thick, as much as I think this looks much better than the other options out there, 12.5mm thick is brick-thick.

Thanks, looks good. I've been looking for something to replace my slightly larger Sony compact. I'm still happy with the size, but the memory is near full and affecting the speed. This has double at 64gb.

I confess I’m not overly bothered about cameras and things like that so not sure if the camera and cpu are anything half decent but my redmi 9 had 4gb ram and decent storage with NFC and I was happy with that hence going for this

Just bought my mum a redmi 10 for 84 quid new in sale. I had a redmi 9 was a good phone, bought a Poco f3 myself.

Indeed I don’t think my redmi 9 cost much more than that. They are good value despite the rubbish camera on the 9 but definitely looking forward to having something smaller!

Did anyone buy one of these? I have a Cubot King Kong Mini 2 and while I love the size the camera is rubbish, as in worse than the Sony Ericsson phone I had 15 years ago.

If not, what <5" budget smart phone should I go for?

I purchased the cubot pocket and love it

I do browse quite a bit on the phone as I don't have a laptop or PC at home so it's a bit of a change but I'm liking it. Nice to have something compact that doesn't get in the way

Camera isn't great but I didn't buy it for a decent camera. I can snap the odd picture when I'm out and about if I need to and that's all I'm bothered about.

Ah okay,we have small children and send pics to grandparents a lot and seeing other people's photos makes me realise how poor it is.

Anyone got a small phone with a good camera?
