Enjoy your job?

Well yes it does help in the financial sense but it just shows me how little im earning and how unsuccessful ive been in 20 years of working.
All depends on what you consider successful mate. In my eyes finding a partner who earns enough to support us both and more would definitely be classed as successful😆Yes I enjoy my job, it has great freedom (due to being based in Aus) and exceedingly well paid.
Only downside is I have to do Asian Tours of up to two weeks at a time but generally a week. This is once a month, rest of the time I'm 'working' from home.
I'm actually leaving this job to take an office bound position (my first ever) but the salary package is the lure and the place is a little disfunctional so need to sort it out.

Most of the time I love my job. I work with a great bunch of guys in a fun environment, get paid fairly well for my age, 17 weeks holiday a year, and it's just a 15 minute commute. I still have days when I wonder why I do it, but it doesn't take much to change that back around. It's certainly not for everyone though!

I love (most aspects) of my job, but *hate* the hours required. In my work, 60 hours a week is typical. There are no defined hours of work and, thus, no overtime. Salaries are superficially competitive but when you work them out on an hourly basis, not competitive at all.

I do a variety of duties from marshalling on post ,start line , rescue and recovery ,incident management then for events anything from track maintenance and tyre wall team to VIP transport , live snatch I also do some venue security work . We often get photo shoots for anything from mags to product launches. The variety is great as is the venue and scenery and the teamwork is brilliant and very rewarding. And then there's the grid girls we sometimes have to keep warm !

I love my current job. Last time I posted in this thread I was wallowing about in the steel industry not really going anywhere. But now I'm back in full time education and I work part-time for a private airport car park. Which means I get to see and drive hundreds of different cars a week! It's also a friendly group, a good laugh and the tea and coffee is free. I don't really consider it work at all.
There are some very interesting points of view in this.
This time last year I resented my job, now things couldn’t be better – infact sometimes I think ‘I can’t believe I’m getting paid to do this’.
I suppose it’s all relative as my job would be hell for someone with family commitments; in fact I can’t remember the last time I spent a full week never mind five working days in the UK.

That, or airport run private hire, sounds like my perfect p/t job.mad4amanda said:
