I am applying to university and sending off my UCAS application today.

I have typed up my personal statement but it does need grammar and spell checking, I also have a tendency to put capital letters in where they shouldn't be and use way too many commas.

So can a few kind PHer's please volunteer for me to shoot it over to them to have a going over for me, any development around what should be in/left out in regards to subject matter/better wording etc is welcomed as well.

Good luck with it. I've just spent 4 weeks refining my daughters personal statement, 4000 characters isn't much!

There's a guy on here looking for an apprentice for his classic car business, seems like good people are few and far between.

Good luck with the application/course.

Got a reply from 2 out of my 5 UCAS choices so far. Been offerred a place at both. One of them specifically said this.

"My descision to offer you a place was determined by the good quality of your personal statement and potential you demonstrated to suceed on the course"

So thanks to the PH'ers that had a look or offerred to, I cannot thank you all enough.

I will update with the other three when they reply.

How amazing is PH?

People help someone who lack basic English skills to scam his way into a University and they are congratulating themselves?

I sincerely hope the OP is found out sooner rather than later, he and his "helpers" should be ashamed of themselves.

THe fact the o/p knew he needed help and went about obtaining help in a polite and courteous manner shows a bit of initiative in my book.
I wouldn't call it cheating.
