Probably many of the same points as others have made:

  1. - be waiting outside 5 mins before booked departure
  2. - be waiting for me when I get through (& if I say it will take me 10mins only to get through the airport, it will, don't assume 45mins "like everyone else")
  3. - I don't really want to talk to you
  4. - ask me if the temperature in the car is ok for me, don't assume.
  5. - phone chargers....really good idea not thought of that.
  6. - I don't want the phaff of payments, be it cheques, cash or cards in the car. I'll give you card details you charge as & when.
  7. - I will change plans at the last minute/be delayed or whatever. It's really not my fault & I'm not trying to be a pain.
1,2 & 7 are the deal makers/breakers for me.

If using Mercedes, ensure the headrests are up before the passengers get in, all three I would say.

If there is reclining seats, have them set upright and airvents half on pointing at stomach height. No one likes cold or hot air blowing in their faces when they don't want it.

All imo

Hey Rob wavey

A service like the OP would go down well in Kuwait I'd always thought, western driver in an immaculate car, driven perfectly. Has to be high demand for such a service

A simple one. Use an "odd" coloured greeting board. The company I use have yellow boards, arriving at Heathrow to be greeted with sea of boards I can always spot them straight away without having to read every one of the white boards to rule them out. Even if there are two or three yellow ones the process of elimination is much quicker. Get known as the driver with the green/purple/turquoise board.

Like that one. I hate it when a driver just snatches my bag and heads off.

How you doing?? You back in Ireland?

I find part of the adventure is the beat up old taxi's, drivers with BO, driven like dodgems, followed by the row over fares is the attraction!!

Ah well only a few weeks left for me!!

Back in Ireland and doing well thanks, do kinda miss Kuwait tbh, miss the easiness of general living and eating out 6 times a week.

Taxis drivers were wise enough not to argue with my wife and accepted the given rate, they'd argue til they were blue in the face with me mind you!

Back to Blighty with you or another adventure lined up?
