But I just don't like giving out my details to people in case let's say they got caught on a speed camera and gave my details etc... anyways if you did deliver for Pizza Hut with car let me know your experience please

Do you have business cover on your Insurance or does your Pizza Hut branch run a top-up policy?

You need car insurance with business use to comply with the law. The request for your documents is normal practice.

I'd suggest that they are asking for the minimum required information to check that you are allowed to be employed , that they can tax you , that you are insured.

Id suggest that they additionally need the code to check on line for any points.

Sounds reasonable to me

Youre going to need to provide that information for any driving job, they need to ensure youre eligible to work and that your and your vehicle are legal.

I suggest you are check this. A mate of mine worked for Dominos and (when he had the inevitable bump) it turned out that the insurance provided was third party only! No idea if Pizza Hut are the same but better safe than sorry!

Yes it is third party Its better then nothing and also hire and reward insurance is expensive for me so it's good that it's provided for free although it's third party

Yes it is. What you've described is better than nothing. With nothing, the third party wouldn't get paid either!!!

Hire and reward insurance is for minicabs. You just need car insurance with business use and you must tell the insurance company that your business is delivering pizzas, either as a self employed delivery driver or an employee of the business using your own vehicle. The Pizza company has third party insurance including public liability insurance which is required by law.

Two years ago I worked for Dominos as a driver in addition to my day job as the overtime dried up and I was saving up for a new kitchen and bathroom. I enjoyed it for a little bit, but over time it becomes grating, especially during winter when the idiots (customers) take ages to come to the door and don't have their money sorted, even though they're expecting their dinner rolleyes

I managed to change over to do something in store instead. You're safe, warm, and your car doesn't smell of pizza. If you're working at a Pizza Hut that is a restaurant, waiting on the tables the tips can be semi-decent.

Wrong. Hire and reward is carrying other people, or other people's goods, for money.

Couriers, hauliers and the like all have to have hire and reward insurance.
