Discussion
Hello I will be starting Pizza Hut on Friday as a delivery driver the manager wants copies of my details such as certificate of insurance and drivers licence and ni and passport I know it's Pizza Hut so it should be safe right? But I just don't like giving out my details to people in case let's say they got caught on a speed camera and gave my details etc... anyways if you did deliver for Pizza Hut with car let me know your experience please

They are providing free hire and reward insurance for me
I suggest you are check this. A mate of mine worked for Dominos and (when he had the inevitable bump) it turned out that the insurance provided was third party only! No idea if Pizza Hut are the same but better safe than sorry!BIGDAI said:

Yes it is third party Its better then nothing and also hire and reward insurance is expensive for me so it's good that it's provided for free although it's third party Cupramax said:

No its really not, if you have a shunt it'll pay for the other driver but nothing for you...Hire and reward insurance is for minicabs. You just need car insurance with business use and you must tell the insurance company that your business is delivering pizzas, either as a self employed delivery driver or an employee of the business using your own vehicle. The Pizza company has third party insurance including public liability insurance which is required by law.
Two years ago I worked for Dominos as a driver in addition to my day job as the overtime dried up and I was saving up for a new kitchen and bathroom. I enjoyed it for a little bit, but over time it becomes grating, especially during winter when the idiots (customers) take ages to come to the door and don't have their money sorted, even though they're expecting their dinner
I managed to change over to do something in store instead. You're safe, warm, and your car doesn't smell of pizza. If you're working at a Pizza Hut that is a restaurant, waiting on the tables the tips can be semi-decent.
