I beg to differ, its been a pain in the arse biggrin

They have shown that it can be done, come the 29th of Feb, they get my next hours and then have ten days to get it sorted and into payroll.

Am going to ensure its done, am no longer going to be reticent about mithering people, now I have the names and what they need to do.

I told my boss I have spent ages trying to sort this out, it detracts from my normal duties. Things tend to take longer here than my last employer where stuff happened at breakneck pace, seemed normal at the time..
You would still be n+1 in arrears.

If you have a forecast rota month on month, surely they should just take the Feb rota into Feb payroll?

Please tell me that you are not waiting till the 29th to get money you are owed since June 2019?
26th, and it was since late Sept, I have had it all confirmed officially via the payroll system and thats all I wanted really, off to New York for a few days next week and when I get back it will be in my account.

I have already sent the projected months call out duties to keep it fresh in their memories, once back I will forward the actuals through and ensure that they get it sorted before the payroll deadline.

I want it paying monthly, they said every three months but not happy with that, they cocked it up so royally I want it as part of salary.

You you might possibly settle for monthly in arrears (paid in the month after)... rather than in the monthly salary run based on rota (and any deviation balanced the next month)

It IS part of salary as you say.

Your employer is treating their legal duty to pay you as an optional extra.

They do pay spot on time for everything else, so its not a normal situation, its just this was a clusterfk due to the fact its out of the normal run of things, not a conscious decision, just it not fitting the norm. If this was endemic and I didnt like the job I would vote with my feet, as I see it, its an exception as believe it or not they are a pretty good employer otherwise.

I am quite happy for it to appear at the end of the month, my next stint ends on the 2nd March, I then have eight days to provide the final figure and get it authorised and included, rinse and repeat each month, quite happy to burn the time they pay me for faffing about but it would be more constructive if I didnt have to which is where I am hoping to get to.

Just need to not alert the missus to its presence, keep it nice and cosy in my savings account until such time as I have enough for a change of car, or more likely to bail the kids out.

Your attitude to this is laughable and sad in equal measures. You say "They do pay spot on time for everything else" like this is something they should be applauded for. You say "its not a normal situation" when it really is (the OT that is, not paying you for it IS unusual). You say "I am quite happy for it to appear at the end of the month" ignoring the fact it should have been paid in (IIRC) October. And then immediately once you raised the issue.

I'll say it again. It's employees like you that allow employers to treat their staff like crap. I joked about you joining my team as a free DBA a while back but in all seriousness I wouldn't want someone in my team that had such a poor attitude to getting things done.

Cash is in the bank, we got there eventually, will get the next claim in by the tenth for payment next pay day.

Appreciate all the advice, way more painful than it should have been.
