You are correct. Obviously I dont want to be too specific. But think gambling on a large scale. Can I please ask that we don't go any further with the place of work questions at the moment?
Today I shall be ringing work and asking my manager questions about what is going on, why the woman wasnt sent home, why she is still in work and why they think its ok for me to work with her.
I shall be telling them I am not working with her ever again and it's for them to sort that out.
I shall do a letter to HR too and follow this up myself.
I have some other posts on here to reply to and will do this later when my daughter is at school.
Thanks again all.

Sorry, it's true.
They probably think you need a slap then (men haters). Best to find a new job.For instance, it's ok for female customers to touch the male staff. We just have to ignore it because they are only 'having a laugh'.
I cant post the best one on here yet because its very specific. I will do when this is sorted though. Completely sums up the way they think of men.

You might want to think a bit more carefully about your action tactics and not to make life more difficult for yourselfI shall be telling them I am not working with her ever again and it's for them to sort that out.

Ok. Thanks.
Do you have the name / contact of someone who is willing to say they witnessed the incident or is it on camera? We have CCTV in the work place too. Maybe I should ask for the footage.

Ok. I'm changing my questions to things like the below:1. I'm uncomfortable working with the woman again. How can we address this in terms of shift patterns etc?
2. How can you as a company ensure there won't be a repeat of this?
3. I am going to the police with this due to the nature of the incident (and to protect myself from any future fallout from the woman in question). How will you support me with this?
4. Please can I have a copy of the grievance policy.
5. Please can the CCTV footage be saved.
6. What are the results of the investigation so far/please can I have an update.
Etc. A bit less confrontational and putting the emphasis on them to provide answers.
I would love to ask the questions I posted earlier, but as you say I need to be careful. I also need to give them a chance to go through their process. If it turns out to be nonsense, I will ask to escalate the issue.
The whole thing seems very odd. You got slapped in front of management for doing nothing and and she is still working there. Why would she slap you, has she got history.
You are talking about the police and CCTV, the police will do that. Just ring them up now and let them do what they do. The company sounds inept and has a duty of care towards you and seems to have failed.

Go and see someone or speak to someone. If you don't get the answers you need and feel the need to escalate then go for it. These emails / letters are not likely to achieve much.1. I'm uncomfortable working with the woman again. How can we address this in terms of shift patterns etc?
