Apparently BCA don't want any more stock. Take a look at your car valuation on WBAC.

Hmm, Rather (substantially) under market IMO - There's still an offer made though.

'Friend of mine took her macan S Diesel today. Offered 35240£ last week , took it in today to drop it off to be offered 21000 !
Incredible'

One example above in Northampton.

My Boxster last week was £25k. Today £16k. Bloody good job I don't need to sell.

Friend (yes, a real one) of mine has a 6 series gran coupe he's thinking of selling. When he asked me if I was interested in early February, I used WBAC to get a figure for him to NOT let it go for, it was £14,200. Just tried again and it's now £9425. eek

OOps, typo, changed it - £14,200 of course. rolleyes

Well I guess it is the true value if you want to sell now. Utilitarian is king at the moment, cars or otherwise.

I'm amazed anyone will buy them at all bearing in mind their well known recurring dpf issues.

Well it says the price is guaranteed for 7 days. They just use some algorithm and definitely don't want some cars. I sold A TVR Chimaera privately for over £11k in June 2019, the WBAC price offered was £50. No laughing at the back there!

Anecdotally, somebody got a very good price for a TVR Cerbera a few years ago. Car got punted through various BCA auctions and sold at a big loss to them. smile

Friend just had a phone call from Arnold Clark telling him that they are no longer buying cars. And that their previously agreed offer no longer stood. By telephone.

A tad inconvenient as he's due to collect his new one in a couple of weeks (not through AC) and there now appears to be a bit of a cashflow problem.

Sytner group and Halliwell Jones are also another couple of trade buyers that will no longer take any stock.

Can't imagine what the issue may be currently, causing the sudden drop off in values and some not buying at all!

I'd say that was a very loud judgement call on the perceived future value of vehicles.

I've got a couple of E classes on my Autotrader watch list, they are up for just over £7500, last week WBAC were £4700, then £4500 and as of now £3700 .... so its dropping fast - I don't mind a trader making money but I just like to know how much i stand to lose if I hated it and wanted shot of it quickly.

Come on people why the shock? We are.more than likely going into lock down who in their right mind would expect the 'old' market value.
