I have tried to find an answer online but can't seem to find anything.

My wife only works one day a week at the moment. She was off for 2 weeks as she had to self-isolate (I tested positive for covid). She hasn't been paid for these 2 days. Just trying to find out if she should have been paid or not.

Thanks in advance.

AIUI - I don't think there's any formal Government guidance on this and it depends on the Company and how considerate they are.

I assume it wasn't possible for your wife to work from home. Whilst i makes absolute sense for her to SI the $64m question is - who bears the cost of this? I don't think the Company is legally obliged to pay, as she's not sick.

Given that we are 7 months into the Pandemic I'm surprised this hasn't already happened elsewhere in your wife's Company so I would have assumed they would have had some kind of guidance by now.

Thanks for the responses. Looking at the eligibility on the gov site, it looks like she doesn't quite earn enough.
