Eligible for pay whilst isolating?
Discussion
I have tried to find an answer online but can't seem to find anything.
My wife only works one day a week at the moment. She was off for 2 weeks as she had to self-isolate (I tested positive for covid). She hasn't been paid for these 2 days. Just trying to find out if she should have been paid or not.
Thanks in advance.

AIUI - I don't think there's any formal Government guidance on this and it depends on the Company and how considerate they are.My wife only works one day a week at the moment. I assume it wasn't possible for your wife to work from home. Whilst i makes absolute sense for her to SI the $64m question is - who bears the cost of this? I don't think the Company is legally obliged to pay, as she's not sick.
Given that we are 7 months into the Pandemic I'm surprised this hasn't already happened elsewhere in your wife's Company so I would have assumed they would have had some kind of guidance by now.
