hi all, as title, who realy likes their job....not just because it pays well, me, i love my job...the people.....what i do......the managers. everyone on the shop floor are mad as hatters and i am often in stitches laughing at what happens, everyone is easy going, no one says much if you turn up late (as long as its not too often) wander off for a cupper when you want, 5 weeks hols + 15 lue days, so am i the only one who likes their job?

It took me a very long time (and a long list of employers) to find a company that I like working for and people I like working with, but it was worth it.

I LOVE my job.

I love my job, I wish it paid more, but I'd rather stay within the current working environment. Good management, pleasant location, flexible hours, interesting work.

There are lots of things about my work that I like - flexibility, challenge, people, earnings. That's not to say I'd be working at the same thing after a large lottery win but for now, it's OK.

I used to love my job, but we changed location and since then its been downhill. I started working nights full time which is far more relaxing and the rest of my shift are good friends. I also have a good boss but the job is now boring me to death and I could do with earning more money.

Atleast I am in full time employment and I doubt that will change for a good long while.

Yes I am satisfied with my job. Its quite rewarding, though the pay isn;t the best its a sacrifice I will happily take for NOT going into work hating it everyday.

I hate my company more than you could possibly comprehend, I love my job (Does that make sense?)What am I doing about it?

Working as bloody hard as I can trying to find another company to do the job I love, before this company destroys me. (Dramatic but true!)

While I was employed, I always enjoyed doing my job but I didn't like all the pettiness surrounding it. The office politics, the being nice to the boss even when you think he's wrong, even down to having colleagues whinge because you used the wrong mug for their tea.

Nowadays I'm self-employed and I love my job. Most of the time, anyway. hehe

I love my job (doing science). I mean, I hate it right now and I am very annoyed at the slow rate of progress with my career (despite my ability)... I want to make the move to be independent in my research as soon as possible. but despite that, I still love my job. I get to use my braina nd learn somethinh new every single day (sometimes its stuff that nobody knew ever before, too, and not just becuase its really obscure!).

nice to the boss? If he says something wrong I tell him and tell him why I think he's wrong! We are both "academic equals" after all.

I like my job, don't love it, but the content is fine. I hate (H.A.T.E.!!!111ONE) my boss and the company I work for. Hopefully I will be out of here come the end of summer doing something I enjoy more

Yeah, I tried that. But with the first boss, he ignored me and went his own sweet way "because he knew best", and the second boss was completely unpredictable - he'd either accept the information in the spirit in which it was intended, or he'd start chucking his toys out of the pram big style. It all depended on the mood he was in when you caught him.

Life's just too short to work for people like that. smile

It's a good job, interesting enough but after 2 1/2 years at the same place and getting on for 5 years of the same sort of work, I fancy a change.

Currently on the downwards slope of work happiness. Don't get me wrong, some shifts can be brilliant.

I am in the process of getting the career I want, not just a job that can be good fun sometimes.

Let's hope my current employer doesn't read this hehe

hi all, cheers for the replies, it seems there are people out there that enjoy their jobs. main thing i like about mine is no pressure no stress. i go to work not worried about whats going to happen, and go home not worried about anything. my last job i ended up loathing, mainly the boss (seems to be the most thing people hate). he had 2 ways of doing things, his way or his way, no matter what. this company i work for now couldnt be more different..always listen to the guys on the floor who see the problems first hand, they know our names....not 'can you tell er er whats his name to pop in to see me' we call them by their first names, no yes boss, no boss, oh and the money is ok too.

Yep...I like my job.

I write software for our products and look after the IT for the company.

I am given projects to work on and I am largely left to my own devices. Every project I work on is different and usually throw up some new problems to get my head around. The learning experience is fun and its good experience.
