are touching in stone chips available on your bronze or silver or gold paint protection packages ?
I have a very small number of stone chips.
Btw do i supply the touch up kit mine is Carbon Black Metallic Paint from BMW if i ordered one of your packages?
And do you detail the underbody of the car?

Thanks :-)
With out being rude as its not meant this way ,

A bit of common sense would tell you that your not the only person driving around in a car with stone chips on the front of your car which bugs you wink

I think 80% of cars we detail are covered with stone chips and i think we would not be as busy as we are if your shiny car left covered in loads of white dots smile

We are always carry out far more than the customer expected or correcting things the customer did not even notice , we are the experts and have the VERY best equipment and staff skills to finds these problems and put them right for you.

And if there are loads of chips we will charge a small amount for our time to do so , or even price up for re-paint of area that need this, then its down to the customer to choose.

I like to think we can give many options in the hope that there is one that best suits the customer.

How's it going mate? Yes, definitely worth looking after these, the car has been first class.

Moving abroad so may sell it or store it until I get back, haven't decided yet.

Lovely M5, that finish is class, know what you mean re the M5 vs M3, I had an E46 M3 Cab and prefer the M5 hands down, love the torquey V8.

wink

The new site went live last week ,
has only a tiny amount of the cars (BMW) that we have detailed and painted , it will be slowly updated with all the older work i do have over 2000 cars that could go on new site (built so wont slow down or use any more space , old site did and had to pay for each car to be uploaded), done many M3 including CSL & CS we painted / dent removal / wheel refurb / leather bolster recolour / detailed a CS only a few weeks back.

There is a an area on the bottom of every page on the site called "Latest cars" every time we upload a car it get refreshed so making it easy to view next cars on site smile without viewing all the subsections of the galleries .

Completely biased view but for me e46 M3 and e39 M5 are finest of the M cars.

Want that M5!

looking back now ,

I should of kept the M5, i needed a cash injection for some equipment for business , but very quickly went and bought another car which was twice the price but NOT twice as good.

Ended up buy a TVR and my problem is the TVR and my M3 are too similar cars, where as the M5 complimented the M3 in so many ways.

should of kept to having the choice of which "M" do i take home today?

But yet again i could go back even farther and say why did i trade in a mint and sorted TVR chimaera 500 with many many mods for improvements and a Lancia integrale Evo 2 with again all the CORRECT mods, plus 8k for an E46 M3 , and then go spend 25k in modifications and parts on that very car.

The M3 stands me in 60k without my time and labour.

I am either the worlds worst petrolhead when it comes to buying and selling cars or i have a disease/illness.

Hi Rich,

For the Future you would be better to send an email direct or give us a call (all contact details on my site) , also on my new site is a download booklet on "how to look after your car" it covers most aspects of the car too.In the guide section tab bottom left corner "aftercare".

I normally dont get much time for forums these days and have to spread myself thinly, a lot of the time i read certain posts due to friends and forum members send me a link to threads if a question or something regarding KDS is written.

The six million dollar question is "how long will it last"

Many factors involved with last step coatings.

copied and paste from a recent sent email for speed

How many times has the vehicle is washed per week/ per month ?

what products are used to wash the vehicle (strong shampoo/mild shampoo/shampoo with wax) ?

where does the car live ? indoors/outdoors near industrial fallout works etc,

Do you apply quick detail sprays in between washing ? Are the quick detail sprays adding or removing layer of wax as they normally do one or the other.

who washes the car ?

These all have varying factors to the durability of these coatings and
the same to any other waxes if on a much shorter time scale .

The way to tell is when you are washing the car , is visual and touch
, its it still water beading well? Its it still smooth to touch? Does
its still look fab? Is it still easy to wash and dry?

The very best thing would to be ring and book a time slot for us to
wash your car , as we do offer this service on your website with many
locals using the service around once a month.

Oh the new site will have so a downloadable booklet on how to do the
very best upkeep of your car in the future.

Temp has a big part to play with LSP's on cars paintwork , a light coloured car will last much longer than a dark coloured car that sits in the midday sun.

The temp difference for panel temp is large, a Black car in the English Summer can reach over 80deg c (seen 90 deg c on a 24deg c day) for many hours per day , (a car is baked after being painted at max 60deg c for 40 mins in paint booth) where as a silver on the same day only reached 24deg c.

UV light and heat will degrade (Sacrificial Barrier (designed to be used up or destroyed)) waxes much faster in the summer than in the winter (remember part of wax make is from trees and plants and they reproduce to top up what the sun is burning away), sealants are slightly different as they are MORE man made, compare your mineral oil against part and fully syn oils.

Man made coatings are designed to do certain roles.

waxes are also collect on the surface the contaminates and keep it away from the paints surface, and at some point this needs to be removed and re coated

Taken from many resource word documents i am writing for the future (and helping with chapters in a detailing book)

Carnauba wax - molecules form a closed linked mesh like structure, which means that they only butt up together to protect the surface and the wax forms a shell like structure that adheres to the paint surface. When attacked by environmental elements they have to compromise the wax surface before they can reach the clear coat paint surface and cause surface etching.

so we can carry out a valet wash as found on our website, and then top up the protection of your choice again selection of different coatings and prices on the website,
i also have a download catalogue of the entire range of services we offer (with text explaining costs time scales and the differences) so you dont have to keep coming back the to website.
