You lot! How dare you break into the 20s! Try that with the V10...
My M6 does around 20-22mpg on motorway trips cruising at 90+. My M5 V10 never bettered about 16mpg at these speeds. Weird.
Better aerodynamics on the M6?

My E92 M3 has massive of grip in the wet and cold. It's hard to get the wheels to spin so that the electronic nanny kicks in unless full throttle is used.

Normal mode still allows plenty of tail wagging action and drifting, if one so wishes.

M3 grip in the wet?
Not a handful as long as you respect the car, but its true the 997 has a lot more grip due to engine weight over the rear wheels, use to love driving the 911 in the wet, you can definitely use more of the available power safely

I'll apologies now...I regularly average into the 30s in my F10 M5. To be honest it's not that difficult with all the early / late motorway driving I do. Town / blasting is a different story though!

It is incredible, I have to admit. A friend in E Europe bought one brand new. On a recent trip from Bulgaria to the Ring via Munchen, several V-max runs (his is de-restricted) and general hooning around, he averaged 10.9ltrs/100km from brim to brim...
