I'm sorely tempted to buy one but what is bugging me is that it's like focus ST of the range rather than the RS. I wonder wether people will flock to buy the real m version when it emerges and sell their M135, therefore making mine worth about as much as a truck load of dead rats in a tampon factory.

I hate losing money on regular depreciation as it is.
I can't imagine it will be any better 'investment' than any other £30k new car, but the very positive reviews will do it no harm! I think it will gain a bit of a cult following, somewhere between the 130i hatch and the 1M in residuals.

Have absolutely no issue with it being a 'sub' brand, just relish in the fact that it handed the prestigious RS3 its ass!

Good point, although you need to be in it to win it. Although the BMW M135i as it is will have better fuel economy, be cheaper to buy and insure and the difference in performance not sufficient enough to outweigh the cons. My opinion though.

4.9 % APR is still available on PCP deals, discounts vary I guess. I will be very competative and you have the re assurance that you are buying from a BMW dealer as a posed to a Broker in a shed. The issue is that Dealers are supplying these cars to brokers, brokers are still making money so surely it makes sense to buy direct from the dealer, cut out the middle man and make the deal better for yourself

Hi guys!
Sorry for late response to your request for more info on 10-13% discount on a new M135i.

If you are genuine and are really looking for a car e mail me direct and I will send you a personal spec back. Prefer to do this and keep it low key rather than band dealer/supplier names about. There is nothing in it for me. However a number of Pheaders have bought cars from this source. I asked them to put a voluntary sum in the Poppy Appeal tin for me.

Hi Guys,

I have been reading this with interest. I'm in the lucky position of working for one of the larger BMW Dealers in the UK.

I also took delivery of my own (personal not demo) M135i about four weeks ago, which I sold too myself on the 4.9% APR deal.

If any of you are interested in buying your M135i from a reputable dealer and PHer please get in touch on the PM and I will be happy to help.

Thanks

Jamie

Bit of inside scoop.. (well, released today so its out already but thought it might be of interest):

BMW's seasonal pricing actions have affected the M135i by +£560 from Week 1, 2013 production. As such it will no longer be a sub £30k car.

They will however now be fitted with DAB as standard (along with the rest of the BMW range).

So,
+560.00 price increase
-295.00 DAB addition
overall,
265.00 worse off

Out of interest, and a pos a stupid question but does production mean time of production, order, or registration?

What is the employee discount you got? The standard 17%?

Hard to say although I doubt it very much. The fact that the only 'non conventional' xDrive offering at the moment is a F30 320i, I'd be very surprised.. and anyhow, why ruin the purist "6 pot at the front, manual box in the middle, drive at the rear" setup? wink

Any car which has a production (build) slot 012013 (week 1 of 2013).
So if you take delivery of a car in 2013, which was built =< 522012, you won't get the DAB for free, but you also won't pay £560 more for it.

If you have cars on order, check with your Sales Exec if yours is going through pre or post Week 1 Production.. if it's after, tomorrow when the main system is updated the car should automatically gain DAB.

Please note, there is NOTHING that can be done if you want the car to go into production after (or if it was me, before) Week 01... once on order, the sales exec can't 'bump' it up or down, don't give them a hard time over it!

I need to read the bulletin more accurately tomorrow - in other Series there was also mention of Option 521 (rain sensors) becoming standard, but can't remember if this was for the F20/1... also need to find out about the Complimentary speaker upgrade on the M135i... think this might be ending at the end of 2012.

In other news, X3's now finally get bluetooth as standard! Alas!

Hi all,

I am looking for an M135i for delivery soon. If anyone here (I can't PM yet as a new member) would like to get in contact with me with details of where to get a good price and deal, that would be very helpful and I would if it goes through probably owe you a beer token or three. The car would be 5dr auto with some extra goodies to total around £34,500 or so list price.

Any help most greatfully appreciated.

Edit: South East based, but could travel, or do a deal elsewhere if required.

Hi all, newbie here. I am coming back to the BMW fold having last had a C2 2.7 Alpina in 1988! The last new car I bought was my Golf GTI in Sept 2006. I have a quote for the M135i which I thought was good with the dealer throwing in a complimentary BMW Professional multimedia, but then see he is also listing Fuel £75, Delivery £700 (I will collect from his showroom!) and 12 months RFL £275, so is effectively clawing back £1050. Is this normal? I had thought the car came with a tank of fuel and a years RFL all inc., and £700 delivery charge seems outrageous.
Also can anyone advise whether the Adapative Suspension is worth having?
Many thanks.
