BMW dont offer a deposit contribution on the 1 series so the deal comes down to how much discount you get in the metal.
Looks like the BMW website finance example (below the car configurator) has changed again in the past couple of days, before New Year it was 4.9% and a ~£1600 dealer contribution on the 135i, then it changed to something like 8.1% I thought with dealer contribution but not sure, now its back down to 4.9% but with no dealer contribution.

Is the HP rate higher then? What is it at the moment?

you cannot advertise a BMW with a discount, so a deposit contribution towards finance is the way round it!!!

Was x Now y save z is a no go, however 29995 with a £2500 deposit contribution is !!!

Send me a message if you wish up to 13% off if you are happy to get off a dealer elsewhere in the country and delivered to your door. Again 4.9% APR if you finance.

has anyone got the M135i on PCP? i'm worried that putting in a 10k deposit for a PCP would be ridiculous but unfortunately finance packages confuse me (which is stupid really as i work for ford credit) !!

also thanks to lee for sending me his dealer/spec details, much appreciated.

I have. It worked for me.

Have a play with the finance calculator on the BMW website and see how much interest you'll be paying. See if you think it's reasonable for a £35k car over how ever many years you set.

I thought it was ok, plus the APR was low and then a tidy discount helped as well.

I thought the idea of pcp was to keep the deposit low?

I'm on a 3 year deal. GFV is £14k ish. Having had the car 5 months now I think it's safe to say I'll be paying that to keep it . My god it's good!!

I went pcp. I hate selling cars so is nice and easy to hand it back when the warranty runs out. Wish end of July would hurry up smile

i think you're right, from what i understand putting a high deposit in a PCP is just like chucking money away.. £14k isn't bad, considering what this link says..
http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/car-news/consumer-new... it is one of the top 10 cars in the UK for keeping it's value!

I've been offered a decent deal on one of these but am not sure what to do about finances. I could put £7k into a PCP deal as I want to keep monthlies low. Is that a bad idea?

Exactly what i put down Juan. What are your monthlies at then? Mine is 350 which Im happy with but then I went pretty basic as you know. Its not as if you havent done any research for the last year! Have you secured that contract yet? Just pull the trigger already, you wont have any regrets Im sure. evil

I'm sitting on a 17% discount offer so monthlies over 48 months would be c. £295. Just not sure if I'm comfortable with that or not. Got a contract extension but had to take a cut in pay which is never good. It's such a good offer though!

Wow thats brilliant, bearing in mind I was over the moon with 9% a year ago. Sounds like a steal to me. Ive never heard of such a huge discount on a new car thats got to cover a huge chunk of the depreciation so Im sure you wouldnt even lose too much if you had to hand it back.

Yep that's true - got to make a decision this week. It's been a year in the making (as you know!)

Care to share what dealer is offering that?

Pm me if you prefer to keep it private.

Thanks
