Handy for those DTM rear passengers though!

2nd hand dog car adverts beginning with ..
"Here we have"....

You'd have thought he'd have washed it and cleaned all the filth from the ashtrays and cubby holes for £15k.

Obviously no one in their right mind is interested.

But moreover the fact it's still on Bulgarian plates, suggests its not got any MOT (and we all know that changes in May to become far more stringent) and you'll have to faff about registering it in the UK.

But the whole EE angle would put me off (Yes I know its a stereotype, but the advert rings bells for me!)

I'm reminded of a few years back when I wanted a new daily. There was a suitable car for sale near me, Up for 7K, Id rather have paid low 6 though. But would probably go to £6,750 if mint. I called the ad and a foreign voice answered.

"Hi I'm calling about the car for sale"
"how much you give for it?"
"Well I don't know, I haven't seen it yet"
"I'm not knocking down price for anything" (sounds familiar with this eBay ad!)
"Well Ok, can I come and view it tomorrow?"
"No, you wont pay price I want"

And he Hung up! laugh

I admit that when he re-advertised the car a couple weeks later, I used another number and called him. (several times over a few days) But he NEVER answered! confused

I guess he didn't want to sell for less than he wanted hehe

You'd think he'd check out the other cars on EbAY before advertising for this silly price though.

No connection, but both would be worth looking at if you wanted a 325i

Could be rear main oil seal? I would just keep an eye on it and if it gets worse, then look at repair. That said, it's hard to be sure exactly where the oil is coming from so initially give the engine a thorough clean. Once done take another look and go from there.

Probably rear crank seal. A bit of a job to do. If you decide to do it, seek out the GrpA seal as I believe it has higher tension.

Neither of which have the correct interior for a Cecotto.

Just standard black leather with vinyl door cards instead of the correct half leather and M cloth or the optional extended leather with M tri colour flashes.

I'm betting with CH penchant for understatement the red one needs some serious restoration. £42.5k for a rest project is going to call for someone with very deep pockets. The Macau looks nice enough but I imagine the retrim was done at a time when originality wasn't such a big deal and people liked leather?

AFAIK the Cecotto was available with a leather interior option.

Agreed, the Premium classics car looks a lot better for the money.

Yes the Cecotto was available with a leather option , a FULL extended leather option with stitched leather door cards and try colour flashes on the seats.

Neither of these Cecottoa at CH have that interior as you can clearly see the vinyl door cards.

cecotto's came with two options of black leather
option 0318 which was std black leather
option 0203 which is leather seats/ door cards and centre console with the m stripe in the top corner of the seat.
I know its a sad thing by I went through all the options when I ordered mine years ago.

Will they be so close 5 or 10 years from now though?
