I know of at least 2 untested s14/2.3 selling for £8k recently. Gearboxes seem to be on the up too!

When you consider what is still required to make this a complete car, you could easily end up spending £40K plus.

What a complete joke, 25K for a meccanno set with no interior or paperwork.

In the current market, this U.S. spec car looks like good value at £40K ono.

No V5? Why wouldn't you pay the £25 for a duplicate if you were really going to expect someone to hand over £15 000 for that shell? I'd want to know it was UK registered for a start and what the history was?

How does it work getting a V5 for a car with no VIN ? Can you even do that ?

Trouble with the U.S. spec cars is they don’t come with the dogleg box. Also hate the reflectors on the bumpers, and not keen on the beige interiors which they all seem to have.

Sorry - I missed the fact it doesn't even have a bloody VIN number! laugh I imagine you'd have to swap over the VIN from a lesser model but you'll never have that all important M3 V5. More than that though, surely selling any car without a VIN number (especially one that can be potentially pretty valuable) is going to generate all sorts of suspicion? How do you prove it isn't stolen for a start?

I don't think you can put any VIN on it unless you can prove the original identity. Might be able to get it on a Q plate ?
At sensible money it might appeal for someone building a dedicated track only car. There is a fair chance though it will end up being used to re-shell a smashed M3 and have the crashed cars VIN swapped on to the shell.
There's already been a few rebuilt with 316 shells with M3 panel swaps, and that was years ago when they were much cheaper.

My E30 M3 is out of hibernation!

New continental tyres fitted (205 55 15).

Idling beautifully and soon to be serviced..surprisingly little wrong so far.

The records show that it has an upgraded chain/tensioner.

Can this be determined from this picture?

If I had the cash I'd have it. Can't see how you could buy and build it for that money today.

I thought it was "Andy74B" who owns that.

He has a large-ish collection including his Lark F1 GTR, and has been trimming it down recently in preparation of some new arrivals. Aston martin Valkarie, GT2RS IIRC

But there's some differences. No Soper stickers, evo splitter, different colour calipers, so not sure now.
