I had a 30k mile evo sport 2.5 around 2004 ish. Sold it the owner of the shell garage in my village for 12k which seemed like a fortune then.

He still has it. Only done about 5k miles since. Not sure he really realises what he has despite me hinting to it every time I fill up.
I'd be offering him 3 times what he paid, in cash, because you've missed it and want to revisit your youth:-)

Cotswold BMW give a discount via E30zone forum of around 10% or so.

C3BMW are good guys and the owner is also an M3 owner that posts here, so know M3 specifics.

BMW's own classic shop is in Germany and priced in Euro, which can work out cheaper.
Shipping is a pain in the bum as nearly every single part comes in a separate package , not always arriving on the same day. I had 13 different packages arive over 4 days.

Leebmann24.de is a German supplier where you can get a 5-10 % discount over the BMW classic shop, but the more you buy the more the shipping goes up, where as with the BMW classic shop shopping is free over a certain figure I forget - 100 euro ?

Satin sills for all as stock.

Do people not fit mph speedos to these? I’m sure I used to at the main dealer I worked at in the olden days.

We have, it's the Welsh car that was owned by Bernie Ecclestone. (27 odd years ago)

The first set of pics on Car and Classic were poor. These aren't much better. The bit of cardboard over the plate tells me that the seller cant even operate Paintbrush and do a simple bit of plate blanking. I would think he'd be a bit "old skool" and thus will be hard work to barter with. Possibly why a car with a high, but reasonable mileage/condition (seemingly) hasn't shifted in a number of months.

Probably saw the Parkways car and figured the Ecclestone link would mean more.

Bit like the guy who paid over the odds for Prince Harry's Audi RS3 thinking he'd make a fortune, and then didn't! laugh

I'd also like to see Pistonheads operate a "No POA" policy. It's ridiculous! Price it or don't advertise it!

I'd hate to own any car previously owned by that odious dwarf and certainly not worth a penny more than any other.
If perhaps Jennifer Aniston had perched her botty on those seats that's a different matter...

Regardless of the car I hate seeing when owners don't fix stuff year on year and just keep presenting it with advisories and issues. It's not like it's a £20k fix to sort them. Not enthusiasts imho when they can't be arsed but still keep taking it along.
No mention of serious corrosion issues I suppose is a bonus!

Apart from a guide (potentially) to any serious structural issues, I don't set much store by MOT history, or even service history come to that. I've had some proper dogs over the years, yet read their FSH and you'd think they had hardly left the showroom. By the same token, I have had cars which came with nothing but a dog eared V5 yet were pretty much mint. When it comes to 25+ year old E30's I suggest you just go with what you can see for yourself. Condition is everything!

It's still an old 3 series that'll rust in much the same way as an E30 though.
