The driveshafts have some wear, but nothing too bad. Aftermarket stuff seems questionable as to if it even fits correctly and the ABS is positioned right, from what I've read. New BMW parts are around £1000 a pair.
I did see the Turner covers, but weren't sure they were a fit on E30 stuff and didn't fancy paying £200 plus to get them here. The cheapo covers I found were around £10 and the CV end is the perfect size and crimps down into the original lip, just as factory. It's a bit of an experiment, but worth trying for the cost.

The finished item came out nicely original looking and feels much better rebuilt with fresh grease.

I'm now in the same boat with needing to rebuild some driveshafts, care to share where you got the metal caps ans cv boot kits from to do yours, it woul be much appreciated. TIA.

This guy has a thread on S14.net which mentions they are Dodge CV covers and says they been modified. Maybe ask there if no response here.

Slowly corroding away like most cars Then! If they were cheap and you know what to expect then maybe no so bad as a project. Rusty E30s used to be circa £20k when I started looking lol.

My lovely first year E30 M3 is on a ship to UK. Its totally rust and accident free and will be sent to Munich Legends for a once over..then the question becomes store or sell? (I don't expect to be back in the UK for the next seven to ten years) ..its original down to the factory spare wheel and tyre. Just the springs and exhaust are different and has a cooling fan and strut braces (both of which I consider to be good for the car's health)

Store.

Although probably better to keep it in the ME than here to prevent rust.

Here no one knows how to keep the car in perfect mechanical shape and the weather dries out all the seals etc. I think the UK is the best place for it and it really is once in a lifetime rust free find. I didn't come across another such unmolested example and doubt I will for even double the price..so could be a keeper but 7 years is a long time

Not about the money. With this car I feel like it is a moral obligation to preserve it. It's too nice to let sit and degenerate. I would love to see it go to someone who would bring it up to useable concours standard and enjoy it. It provides the perfect base to do so.

Well Bulgarian company "Vilner" have in their own words "done a Singer" on a E30M3

Interesting. Wheels wouldn't be my choice. Rear calipers have been moved.

Oh FFS! And why is the battery there? And its attached to a non dogleg 5 speed. Why not the 6 speed?

What the actual fk?!?! Exposed screw heads. Stupid metal plate everywhere. The handbrake! THAT interior fabric! In fact judging from the clock, I think this might be a E30 with the rear window frame. The Sport Evo badge on the centre console is obviously fake!

The fact they even think they can use the word "Singer" when talking about their abomination is an insult! What a load of bullst!

Makes the Redux LeichtBau car look almost good (did that car EVER get seen in the world?)

Singer enhanced every part of the car very tastefully. They didn't rip the engine out and drop a 928 V8 engine in with lots of tacky cloth trim and off the shelf wheels.
While not against engine swaps and modded cars, some are better than others. For example, this is tasty.

Was shipped to its owner in the USA a couple of weeks back. Looked ok (from the limited pics posted) but I wouldn't say it was anything all that special. I'll be amazed if they build another 29.

I saw the same pics, but they're all from odd angles. SO never got a feel for the whole car, or what they'd actually done. What was different, what was bespoke. I've got more pics and details of the Works GrpA DTM cars than this car! I've got more clue about YOUR old car from the article elsewhere! laugh

They (RL and Lord) did it all wrong. They decided to make a business then made a car.

Singer (Dickinson) made his own car first and was then persuaded to make cars for others.

I've mentioned it before. But its worth getting their coffee table book "One more than 10" just because it shows the level of detail they went to. And why 95% of these start up restomod companies can't hold a candle to them. And why this Bulgarian bunch of cowboys just don't get it!

"Within the extensive history file, one’s attention is drawn to the service invoice dated 5th February 2014 that includes attention to the car’s underside. The under shields were removed, any surface browning treated and the front panel, under bonnet, chassis legs, rear panel, and door cavities were liberally treated with Waxoyl. This work was done at 237,772 kilometres and the car has travelled some 10,000 kilometres since. In 2017, a new exhaust system was fitted at a cost of some £3,000. As it stands today the car’s exterior and interior condition belie the current reading of 247,845 kilometres (154,000 miles). During a short test drive, this consignor noted the muted tones of the engine and exhaust, and the car pulled strongly through the gears. "

This sort of guff really winds me up in modern adverts. After telling you the life story of the many owners (one semi well known) and what colour underpants they wore, we are treated to a large paragraph telling us the underneath was once waxolyed and it's had an exhaust fitted when the original rotted away.
Absolute garbage.
