Not cheap!
29K (Miles) from new. Looks new!!
It is however, 236 grand!
Probably a result of being 1 of probably less than 10 SE's in North America!
Car located in Miami

I know somone with a red Sport Evo with approx 18k Miles and has turned down a serious offer of £250k.
It makes me wonder about the true value of the pair of delivery mileage Sport Evos that were found about 7 years ago by the Ford RS collector.
Rumours at the time were circa £100K IIRC. It makes me wonder about the true value of the pair of delivery mileage Sport Evos that were found about 7 years ago by the Ford RS collector.
But it's a diminishing market. If you need the money, cash out at a point you're happy and don't look back. If you see these cars as investments. And are waiting for even sheddy ones to get into triple figures. Then I imagine you'll be waiting. Sure if I was seriously loaded I'd like to have a SE in the garage as a "nice thing" alongside other interesting cars. Circa 50-60K miles and total history. I'd want to drive it occasionally though, which would presumably kill a small percentage of it's value.
I suspect the number of collectors seeking a SE is considerably smaller than we think. Whilst your man turned down 250K what would he have accepted? 300? 350? Was the car IYO actually worth that? How many other potential buyers has he got coming to him? Maybe he's just not interested in selling.

I have no idea.S1KRR said:

Certainly not worth that to me. I totally get the higher desirability of the limited build E30 M3's but they are not night and day enough for them to be worth 2 or 3 times as much as a standard E30 M3.S1KRR said:

No one really knows about the car and i think it was by chance that offer was made.S1KRR said:

He's had it a long time and has accumulated a lot of NOS spares for it as well. Its irreplaceable to him and owes him the price of a clean E30 M3 shell so i guess thats probably the reality.BSS BMW in know just how the owner off the Evo sport fills. I have a Cecotto that i have had from new and in the last couple of years have had some serious offers on it, but i am not interested in selling. Once you have had something that long it becomes part of your lifes memories and in real terms it owes you nothing.

I can echo those sentiments on lesser scale. I have owned a tech 2 325i Sport for 13 years which is in exceptional condition, bought it with 32k miles and now has 80k miles. I was told today by someone who works for a well known auction house they could make a phone can and sell it for £30k but as you say, it has become part of my life with many memories for example both my sons transport home from the hospital after being born.I have contemplated letting it go in the past but i dont think i could bring myself to do it.
What do threadists think this car is worth, 1 owners from new, done 80K so useable not just one to be polished, in pretty immaculate condition with a solid history and pretty much no expense spared maintenance regimen.

"Solid history" suggests to me it's not a) regular every year or on mileage and b) There's a chunk missing somewhere.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAcSYTuzst0
Very few cars of this age have "no expense spared" If the car is anything less than perfect then a decision was made NOT to replace whatever part or have whatever work carried out. I'm not knocking it, just that NES is an overused phrase
It looks in decent condition of course, but I think the car gets used a lot for press work, and that's not quite the same as 1 careful owner either
1 owner / 80K So I would estimate (and others will no doubt disagree) £75-78K ish.
Only because this Ravaglia is rarer than a SE and lower mileage and is £90K
https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...
There's a SE on at £90K here: https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...
But its been up for a while, again my guesstimate puts that at around £70K really.
ML have this one https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...
And IIRC it was up for £90K ish as well and that's lower mileage than the one in the vid and also the black car above.
As an aside, lots of interesting Porsches have been "correcting" in terms of price recently. Going for less than expected, not hitting reserves at auctions. Similarly even the McLaren F1 with LM engine that went through at Monterrey recently didn't reach the low end of its estimate (though still sold for £19M ish) So it seems to be a buyers market currently for a lot of interesting stuff.

Asking price for that ML car is £140,000 (€158,000)
So typical ML prices then Actual value probably nearer £100-110 then.If it's S.O.R Id be trying to deal outside of ML with the seller.
We've seen the price "correction" on E30s in the last year/18 months. Entry point is now £40-50K Whereas before it was 60+ for cars that weren't worth that. Obviously the MLs of this world will try it on.
I'd be talking to 4 Star or Fast Classics if I was looking for a decent car for the right price

I always thought they owned them that has suprised me given their ott pricing reputation.
I suppose their cut is quite significant and returns an average sort of price to the seller.
In fairness to specialist dealers in general. I'm thinking of places like Romans International or Joe Macari as wellI suppose their cut is quite significant and returns an average sort of price to the seller.
They don't sell 5 cars a day I wouldn't imagine. So they will mark up accordingly so that if they only sell 4 cars a week. That covers the costs and pays the staff in a sustainable fashion.
ML deal with a very specific niche of cars. I can't imagine they are selling a SportEvo every month. I'd guess they are more at the 1 or 2 cars a week sales wise.

I think even that's optimistic. I've always assumed the "guts" of the business is the servicing/restoration side, and the car sales is almost a side business. They don't seem to advertise widely.Just spotted there's a rather lovely M1 on their website.
