Discounts on new M3/M4?

So what are the monthly amounts people are paying for an M3 or M3 CP? Will be interesting to see the financials on these cars since most people won't be buying cash.
Easy enough to see on BMW.co.uk. Just spec a car, proceed as if to purchase it online and look at the finance options.PorkInsider said:

Doesn't that often (maybe not for M cars) give you the ridiculous rates/deals they are hoping that mugs walk in and pay? Like a 116d for a 9k payment with 4 years of 800 quid a month at a gazillion percent APR...... then you find out they were prepared to discount it and have a rate available which isn't for mugs....i.e. what people in the know *actually* pay? Or am I being cynical or referring to a system that has recently changed? I do seem to recall when I was looking at an M5 that the offer on the BMW site was the offer people were talking about - so maybe it is different for M car offers?silverous said:

If C2C are offering, for example, £3500 more discount than that, just add that as extra deposit to see how much the payments reduce (GFV should not change).
Of course, exactly what you may or may not be able to negotiate in person is a different story but dealers I spoke to were all offering the same APR (as seen on BMW.co.uk) and GFV so it's not hard the get a handle on what the monthlies will be, other than haggling over the contribution/discount at the front end.
I've got an actual quote from my local dealer from September somewhere, if I can find it. I can't remember the monthly numbers as I was trying to see what was the largest upfront payment they would take while still doing PCP so that I could have the BMW UK contribution, which they wouldn't do for a full cash purchase.

Problem with the online BMW calculator (even if you add additional discount to the deposit) is that the base price of the car does not include any options. So would be informative to know what Spec, Deposit, Miles per year, Term and monthly gets you into an M3 these days.

If you configure the car on the BMW website you are taken to the finance options page for that exact spec and price. Then just increase the deposit by the amount you anticipate will be discounted and voila! Edited by Shuks76 on Friday 4th November 09:14

This is exactly what I done. At the time the deposit contribution was shown on the calculator at around £3500, this was built into the figures it calculated. I added the additional £7k I thought I could get off the car onto my own deposit. These were my figures back in May. BMW contributions around £3.5k, dealer discount around £7k, my deposit £7.5k. My monthly is £615 x48, 8,000 miles per year. This is for a M3 CP with around £5k of extra spec, deals were slightly better on the M4, I done very well for a M3. I'm guessing the same car now will be around £100 per month more, this is due to smaller BMW contributions and dealer discount, reduced GFV and higher APR

Of course you can add options, mileage, deposit whatever you want, and then get a quote.Edited by Shuks76 on Friday 4th November 09:14
Just go to the site and have a look.
You have to be able to do those things because you can, effectively, order the car there and then online through some dealers.
So the configuration and finance quote system will give you what you're asking us to tell you, except for massaging the deposit to account for an extra bit of discount. Certainly to a level of accuracy good enough to satisfy the broad question of how much the monthlies are on an M3/4, generally,
Had a call from my local dealer this afternoon to see whether I was still interested in an M4 - I'm not as I've now got an S5 on order - and to let me know that the BMW contribution has dropped again and is now only £1k.
Looks like the big discount days may well be behind us for the M3/4.

They are also stopping production in February and starting again in July a 4 month hiatus. Looks like the big discount days may well be behind us for the M3/4.

Exactly so hoping and waiting for discounts which will never come again on any new M3/4 whatever series unless currency changes.

Again, as per a post you made earlier in this thread, you're assuming that 'people' are not picking up on something which I'm sure everyone is fully aware of: the pound is down against the euro.So yes no st it's odd people are not picking up on this.
No one is talking about that because they already know the exchange rate situation. That's not the whole story behind the discounts going down though, as others have mentioned above.
The reason I posted was to impart what the salesman had said when he called me about the latest contribution rates. This being a thread to discuss 'Discounts on new M3/M4' and all that.

I had your comment in mind when I went to the dealers today but was offered a March build slot for an M4 Convertible. Discount in the region of 15% seemed possible though feel there is more to eek out.Gassing Station | M Power | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
