It seems the average discount is between 10 -12%, my girlfriend was offered 12.5% off the M3 but she decided the D3 was a better buy for her pretty much no discount but managed to find a nearly new one for a bit less.

I was surprised at the no discount attitude when it came to the Alpina

I got offered 17% on a basic one but with the spec my girlfriend was looking at she got offered 14% off I'm sure I could have haggled a bit more off but she ended up buying a Alpina D3
Wow, so your GF has been offered:

- 12.5% off an M3
- 14% off an M4

And you've been offered:

- 17% off a basic spec M4!!!!

I'll defiantly be calling Ridgeway in the morning - Is it the Salisbury dealership?

Interesting to note that Merc are offering 4.5% APR and Broadspeed are quoting 5k off the new C63 at the moment (those two together would make a decent deal)

I think the C63 might be the better bet it's still a V8 and now comes standard with an LSD (unlike before)
I think the new Merc AMG C63 will a good bet in "S" form.
But Litchfields have a tune and exhaust for the M4/M3 bringing the cars too 530BHP, now they will go well.

I don't think the M3 or the new C63 need more power, it's more about a deal...

No it was on the M3 as I said this was before xmas the best deal seemed to be with the independent.

GF was offered 14% off of the M3 she'd spec'd we never looked at the M4

You need to go in there ready to do the deal that day sign up to the BMW Finance & Service Plan I have found there's nothing on offer over the phone.

As I said these guys seem to be doing the best deals:

I've just come across this on the Halliwell Jones site. First time I've seen a contribution on the DCT advertised.

I think you'll find that's for the manual version not the DCT!

Having just spent the last few days trying to tie up a deal, I was not able to get anywhere near 12% off the spec I was looking for. If anyone is interested PM me and I can give you details of what I was offered. Certainly deals off list to be had but BMW is not yet supporting and does not want the car discounted so all discounts are coming from the dealer margin or at least that is the consistent message I was given.

Was it an M4 you were looking at? I'd be interested in knowing what level you got to.

I was the same a as revtime. You can probably push them to chuck in paint protection and to do a deal on the service pack. Late April delivery seemed to be the norm although there are a few stock cars about. I was enquiring about the M3.

Too rich for me if 7-8% is the best. I'll wait and get a pre reg/low mileage for 50k.

From my experience of buying a M4 10k off a car which is specc'd / dealer ordered is never going to happen at present.
6/7% is available at the right dealer at the right point of the month

Been offered 9.2% off a pre-reg M4 at a BMW dealer / M centre in Surrey.

Still, I think more needs to come off, and the 6.4% APR lowered to at least 4.8% (what Merc are offering on the new C63).

Come on BMW UK... Start offering contributions and better finance!

Don't worry, with negative interest rates looking more likely I think we'll see discounts and/or decent finance deals sooner than many thought biggrin

Discounts are available - admittedly not the biggest. I can see Bmw gradually improving the offers quarter on quarter and maybe offering 4.9 apr or similar next quarter. I cant see them suddenly doing 0% finance with a massive contribution like on the M5/M6.
