Coupe? Saloon? Vert?
Colour?

I might be selling mine soon, but would prefer to wait until spring and get some last drives in smile

Sorry that was a little brief, coupe and colour no preference really. Aslong as it is well looked after. Well i don't think he is in much of a panic plus the weather is nasty here so that would suit better

I am planning to sell my E36 M3 Evo convertible. It is individual violet blue which is very rare and in superb condition. Only around 44K miles (can't remember exact mileage right now) and comes with a hard top. Basically exactly like the one recently sold by Old Colonel Cars (still in the classifieds). I believe it to be among the best condition and lowest mileage cars you could find. There are pictures in my profile on here if interested. I was planning to wait until early spring but would obviosuly be happy to sell now for the right price. I was intending to advertise it around £10K ish but am willing to negotiate a sensible price. I won't sell it cheap though, it's too nice for that and it's not a forced sale, just me trying to thin out the car collection and show the wife that I can be sensible occasionally smile

PM me if you want to know more.

The convertible market is a bit difficult to call at the moment, given that there's hardly any for sale now. In fact in the classifieds there's precisely one for sale and calling it a chancer is an understatement laugh

I would think £10k for a 44k mileage mint car is very reasonable!

Re OP, I'd say the chance of your brother picking up a decent coupe for £8k is very slim, might have a bit more luck if he's willing to include saloons too.

My car is going in for a vanos service shortly and has had a good few things ironed out recently, suspension and spring refresh, new radiator, power steering pump - only thing after the vanos service (its not noisy but the oil pressure is low so needs the internal oil pump sorted) will be the hood - its 95% good - but could do with a little TLC around the dog ears and the tension straps, which were my next projects. A toying with the idea of selling, but haven't made up my mind, fancy an old 6 series, 8 series or E21...

105k miles, full S/H.

Again not sure on selling but for the right price I may be tempted.

I agree,in fact I think £10K for a 44K mint Convertible with Hard Top is a little underpriced....
Good sensible mileage standard E36 M3's are becoming very few and far between and there only going to go one way...

I based my price on what Old Colonel Cars were asking for their identical one - £9995. Theirs had higher miles, but they also have the advantage of being in the trade which often gives buyers more confidence. I would take £10K now for an easy sale to the right buyer - i.e someone who I am happy would look after it, and the time of year isn't the best for selling a convertible. That said, come spring I am likely to price it higher as I am quite confident it will sell and I'm in no hurry.

Hi OP,

I have a Velvet Blue coupe listed for sale at the moment in the classfields.

I'm open to offers and listed it at the higher end of the scale. It's in terrific condition with a lot of work gone into it.

I have a 996 turbo also and unfortunately one has to go, I'd be happy keeping the M3 but ideally I'd keep the Turbo.

Was looking at these the other day, all but 1 were more than 10k in the classifieds. I turned down a mint evo convertible for 5k 5 years ago.

Have a look at my Estoril blue Coupe in the pistonheads adverts.

I've a feeling my ebay buyer has done a disappearing act frown

Prices haven't really gone crazy yet though, just gentle appreciation so far. Certainly compared to other classic cars they still represent good value!
Gap between coupes and saloon/verts has widened it seems.

Is his name B***k?

My buyer was meant to come tomorrow but he's not answering messages. The joys of eBay!
