Thanks for the all the input, still on the fence on this but then....
....Sod it, only gone and bought a New M4!! (Well, month old with less than 50 miles on the clock).
Pick her up tomorrow ;o)). Had a test drive, lovely and will be taking it steady to start with. Booking into an advanced
driving course and a few track days to get more experience.
If you see a Yas Marina Blue M4 around the Swindon area, it could be me!!!

I really like YMB. I only chose tanzanite blue for mine in the hope that it might slip under the radar a bit more with customers.

Less traction than an E92? Nonsense. It's got more torque thought so you have to be more careful with the use of full throttle.
Better balanced? Disagree again. The adaptive suspension means it corners flatter and harder.
I'm happy to have a surplus of power / torque that I can choose how much to send to the rear. Some people seem to think throttles are digital these days.
Nearly as fast? Nope. M4 is way quicker.
More linear torque? Utter nonsense. M4 has flat torque across the rev range, where you have to rag the E92 to get max thrust.
Don't get me wrong, I loved my E92 but the M4 is better in every area.

I sold my Aston for my M4.
Best thing I ever did if I'm honest. When it comes to looks AM V8V is a lovely looking car and sounds great, but my M4 runs rings around it in every department apart from looks.
And I've never bought into this cars with soul stuff either.

To be honest I fell out of love with my AM V8V. Some people say they have quirks or it's a car with soul. I think of my old one as an entry level Aston that had annoying faults, like giving me error messages for non-existing faults, paint bubbling on the door and bonnet, reverse sensors that beeped for fun and a Sat Nav system that was st and would one day appear out of the dash and the next day not bother its arse.
Looked and sounded nice though.
