M5 F10 & Race cats
Discussion
Hi All,
I'd like to hear from anyone who has 100/200 cell race cats and a tune. What are the noise levels and extra power like to live with. Also has anyone had the "rattle" that quite a few from the other side of the pond seem to suffer with after removing and refit of the exhaust. Where did you guys get it done as I'm leaning towards somewhere on the south coast.

Race cats, no such thing. There high flow cats.
I have total decat pipes and a full Akro on my F13 M6 along with an Evolve stage 2 tune. High flow cats will give almost as much noise but cost a fortune. As for noise I can only comment about my setup.
Pre evolve tune which removed the cold start cycle, it measured 117db on cold start. With that cycle removed it starts at 700rpm(ish) and just purrs. Obviously when your gunning it it does get loud but not inside the car at all! People outside grin and comment as its a very "technical" roar which I like even more than my old cammed LS3 days.
The DPs are also a relatively easy DIY fit too but budget for a good 3 or 4 hours to do it as allot of stuff needs to come off the top before you get access to the V clamps.
BTW - if you do DP's get it mapped too, not by DMS as their map does not work with DPs... been there tried that! Evolves is in house and works a treat. Mine came in at 752hp and would do about 2 less on SRR from experience.
