Yeah that was crazy! Read it on facebook. He must be devastated. Oh well he definately not getting insured again. t more like 170mph+I will not be doing that today!

Total cost £2k so not trivial but not as eye-watering as one might expect. Am 65k miles into mine now and it's just brilliant. Up at 5am for a 165 mile drive and that excitement about jumping in the car and smashing up some A roads still hasn't worn off.

Car's not a daily , so not so bothered about discrete. It's not that small.
Blackvue do a more complex camera , front and rear and apart from their later ones, they are much more discrete.
Mate of mine installs a lot of "target blues" on a lot of fast/super cars.
They pick up on Tetra so will do cop cars etc. but not camera vans.
Not sure what solutions he has for those, but for the camera detectors my father tried several . I tested them to and only Cheetah Brand was picking up nearly all camera locations I knew.
Other brands were useless !

This from a large main dealer network, who clearly couldn't give a monkeys about what they sold, so long they could get it off their forecourt no questions asked.
BMW "Approved Used Cars", what a joke.
(BMW weren't in the slightest bit interested when it was drawn to their attention)
So be very careful what you're doing with that car because the one I bought had clearly just spent it's entire 3500 miles on the track.
Edited to add: It was also a YJ plate. I think that's where BMW register a lot of their "management" cars
Do you still have the car or did you reject it? What's the issue?It's fully OEM warranty those parts replaced
I'm guessing you are not the sort of individual who will own it 10 years down the line in which case it's someone's else's problem.

Sorry I been busy with Birthday, Family, car etc.
I wanted to report that the car is absolutely immaculate. The interior is like new. The exterior with the machine polish is gleaming. All minor chips scratches have been taken care of. It looks like brand new to be honest. Very pleased.
The car drives absolutely amazing!! What a car! It has two personalities. A refined family saloon and in an instant a supercar killer. Awesome. I can't take the smile off my face.
Pics are coming soon after the car goes in for full detail.
I was considering ppf protection on bonnet, bumper, wings, wing mirrors and front side of roof. Maybe xpel or the 3m scotch (I think it's called that) what do you guys think? Is it worth it? How does it look long term? Got one quote for £1500 ex VAT
Is it better off getting ceramic coating?

I hear the Cheetah is only compatible with windows. I only have Apple laptop, desktop etc. Dont really fancy using the office pc for this...Car's not a daily , so not so bothered about discrete. It's not that small.

The F10 M5 lowest power output is 295bhp/tonne. Close to the magic 300 (competition pack is 303bhp/tonne).
200bhp/tonne is a very very fast road car and frankly you are not going to get much quicker for the road.
That said a TVR Cerbera 4.5 is 377bhp/tonne and the 4.2 32bhp / tonne. So don't try to beat one of these they will destroy you.

It's a C550 Cheetah, the 2016/2017 Auto Express award winning one. I took it for a run this morning, picks up on everything by me.
No Mac Compatibility though.
Runs from cigarette lighter, if it has an internal battery it would be only for back up.
A gadgets go, visibly it's discrete. But provides a lot of info, I think I'd find that a pain.
