Picking mine up on Friday, then hoping to run it in and have the service before heading to the Spa GP at the end of August.

What sort of prices have people been paying for the running in service?

(for spec wes, it's a DCT CP in Yas Marina with black interior, HK, comfort access, Icon lights, reverse camera, sun protection and HUD)

My car is due for its RIS in the next couple of months and my quotes have been:

Sytner - Chigwell £378 (negotiable)

Stephen James - Sidcup £450

Coopers - Croydon £335

Nice spec'.

As per the post above, prices vary wildly.

I've seen people talk about less than £300 and others over £500. Someone on 'Cutters provided his own oil and paid well under £200, iirc.

Not sure how much my dealer charges as I have the service pack, which in itself is probabkg not worth the money.

Sytner has agreed £325 for the RIS. I now have to do another 400 miles in a week!

See if you can get the odometer reading exactly 1,200 when you arrive at the dealer.

Mine was on 1,179 which was pretty good given that I use it for work mileage which varies hugely each week.

This is turning out to be fun.

Rang these dealers at 2.30pm this afternoon;

- Cooper York
- JCT Bradford
- Stratstone Leeds
- Sandal Wakefield

Not one of them could put me through to someone who could help. Not one of them can give me a price. Stratstone would not even offer to call back unless I 'opened an account' with them.

The issue is a combination of poor staffing levels and the car being too new to be on their systems yet, without which they cannot offer a price.

For a £67k car (or indeed a £6.7k one), the service level is atrocious. Makes a mockery of my avoidance of the Alfa due to risk of poor dealers.

If it's not too far to go then call Lloyd Colne, I spend years being treated like dirt at JCT600 went to Lloyds and they are brilliant great service, good pricing.

Yep, I'm cheeky and I've bought a few cars off them so they give me a decent price.

Haha, you're probably speaking to my ex wife when you ring them. Unsurprisingly, I tend to avoid the place hehe

Called them, they gave me a price right away (slightly more than yours by a handful of pound notes, however I didn't haggle as I haven't given them business before). Booked in for a couple of weeks time.

Great to deal with over the 'phone (PHer ex-ness notwithstanding wink ).

Thank you for the recommendation.

If you happen to deal with Rachel then tell her Simon says hello. Expect a frosty state from her. Don't think I've seen her in 6 or 7 years so a long time ago.

YMB? They said they had one in for it's running in service, when I picked mine up today.

Yes, that was me. Was yours also YMB? Noticed one parked up that looked lowered compared to mine.

Also surprised myself by quite liking the X5M lurking in the showroom (all £111k of it...).
