Anyone driving an Alpina B7 (or any other big Alpina)?

Hey folks,
I am contemplating a move to the USA from our current home, Singapore.
The move opens me up to a world of affordable large cars, (Escalade, Continental, CT6 etc,) but as well as the real "US cars" I have also been looking at second hand Alpina B7s, which though rare in the UK are reasonably common in the US (currently 80 second hand ones for sale in US).
Here is an example of what appears to me to an extremely lovely car for around US$50,000:

I have previously owned an E60 535d and a E60 M5, so i am used to high running costs, but i would love to hear anyones ownership experiences with large Alpinas?

I had a B3 (e36) years ago. Never had a bigger Alp but had some big BMWs over the years.
The questions are surely on parts availability and cost compared to the 750i/760li.
