Hi Guys,

I have finally bought my F10 M5! (Over the Moon)

I want to get the car coded to use the features on HUD, boot closing, getting rid of warning bongs, messages, DVD in motion.

What other things can you activate?

Has anyone done this? Is there any reliable coders in the northwest that can code all the things on the cheatsheet?
What would be the cost of activation everything?

You can do it yourself with Carly for BMW, it's a dongle and phone app. Amazing bit of kit.

I used a guy in Salford, charged me £40 to have all options available, took 2 hours ! , he used the Carly software.
Andrei 07377396628
After watching him though, I'm sorry I didn't buy the Carly Adaptor & Software myself for about £90, i could always swop n change options myself, easy to do, just tick box options.

That's convenient. It's down the road from me.

I know I could get the thing and do it myself. But i am not really tech savvy. I don't want to do something that I might not be able to reverse.

It it as easy as plug n play? Select options from a menu?

What did he activate for you out of interest?

If you can use a mobile phone, you can use the Carly software ! google it or youtube.
Basically plug the adaptor into the car diagnostic socket, mine is in the drivers footwell, connect to tablet or phone via bluetooth, select car model then there's different sections with options to tick or untick.

Use this website to see what's available for your car, put in your VIN https://www.bimmer-tech.net/bmw-idrive-coding/

I had done -
Start/start off by default
Digital Speedo added
DVD In Motion
M-Performance start up screen
Full text message in idrive
Road route preview on sat nav
Tyre pressures in PSi's & Temp for the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
Sports Display - BHP etc

Sorry for the late response. I been enjoying the new car!! I can't stop driving it!

I tried to contact Andrei but no response. I left him a text and still nothing.

I want to use Carly but I wanted to get alot more coded. I think carly will not do the extra bits I want coded. I have some coding sheets from internet and wanted them. Things such as connect hard drive to play videos in all formats etc. Hud upgrades etc.

Do you know anyone else?

I think that function is this one...

Navigation Route Simulator
HU_NBT > 3000 HMI > NAVI_SCROLLING_ALONG_ROUTE
Change value from nicht_aktiv to aktiv

Had to have my car Re-coded as BMW updates wiped out previous Coding and fortunately was recommended a coder in Midlands Who was one the most sincere guys you could meet..very informative and competitively priced..

He does remote Coding for those not in the Midlands

Give him a call if you ever require any Coding

Thanks for this really useful link. Saved me buying the software as all the available features are already enabled or of no interest.
