I've been toying with replacing my F10 M5 with a new Mercedes E63s and have been offered an excellent deal by Mercedes. However, delivery would be in March 2018 by which time it may be better to wait for the new M5.

Has anybody ordered the F90 M5 and, if so, when are you expecting to take delivery?

Can you give an idea of what deal MB were offering?

I too have a 2105 F10 from new and am waiting with interest to try the new F90.

E63s is a consideration too.

Very interested to hear your thoughts. The F90 has been on my radar for a while now and tempted to put an order in

I'm definitely looking forward to the first reviews, including the experiences of F10 M5 owners. I'll be holding out and crossing fingers for similar deals to the ones that were available on the F10!

Does anyone know if the F90 will come in touring version? With a tow bar?

Official version is "no", but then again BMW also stated that M cars would never go turbo or Xdrive... wink

Think it is safe to assume that an M5 Touring is not happening.

Yes. Deposit paid back in July to secure an early slot & order confirmed on the 9th September when the BMW order system opened for F90 M5 orders.

Confirmation from Inchape that mine's the first order within their group, so should arrive in the very first batch of UK customer (that was one of the conditions of my order). Hoping it will arrive in March 18.

Not 100% sure, but i think i need to lock my spec down around the middle/end of November.

Well I hope the gremlins are ironed out by then Paul, personally I will be waiting to see some discount.

Will be interesting to see if BMW offer similar levels as they did on the F10

I’d like to be back in an M5 however not at or near list!

One caviat ......my F10 always seemed to like being pushed as if it were trying to headbutt the horizon and I did have a tendency to drive it like a bit of a prat wink

I can see 4 wheel drive and more grip only going one way!

Yep yes

I got clocked by laser about 100m or so from a junction in my F10 at 94mph (in a 70).

‘Bloody hell that machine is effing quick’ she said when she stopped me frown

We chatted about the car, skiing and all sorts of topics for about an hour and she then said as I thought things were going well.......

Oh, and by the way you’re nicked.....

I see the M5 is now on BMW website "build/configure your car" section, not just to register your interest. Its also in the finance offer section as well: PCP deal is 4.9% APR and obviously no dealer deposit contribution at the moment.

May be some gremlins on the configurater: in the downloadable pdf price list you can spec a sports exhaust but that isn't present as an option in the website configurater. Also if you tick many of the options you have to change the interior leather in brown!

Was asked if I wanted to put down a £1000 deposit by local dealer for an early build slot but Im mindful of when I signed on the dotted line for the F10 M5 about 6m in to it having been available around 4 weeks later they suddenly announced the PCP deal going down to 0% APR with some considerable dealer contribution that I missed out on. I really took a pasting on that deal. Dealer said they had no idea the new finance deal was about to be offered and that they have no notice of these changes. The timing and level of sweeteners on the better deals all depend on how strong the early sales without discounts are (or so they told me).

I'll be waiting...plus almost 3 years into a 4 year 0% APR/heavily discounted PCP deal on my M6 GCP and the depreciation curve is still about 10K ahead of what I still owe on the finance according to WBAC pricing. We all know we take a battering on the depreciation of these cars, if you can afford to buy outright before the better finance deal arrive good for you and I wish you well, Im not in that group unfortunately and please dont too many people do that or we wont get the good deals in 6-12m time!

What are these Gremlins??

If no deal is offered (accepting the 18mth in the F10's life deals won't be there at launch), then i'll not be proceeding with my order. Not a chance i'm paying anywhere close to list for anything with an M badge, no matter how good it is. The dealer knows this & knows what i paid for my F10, so the benchmark is set & that along with a first customer car are documented requirements.

Fingers crossed they don't try the 'it's a brand new model & so desirable' BS as that will kill the deal & i'll happily overlook the car altogether.

I will surprised IF you get a decent discount this year TBH, maybe very low offers, as you and they will say"it's a new model out sir". LOL

I'm with a couple of you , I am now not going to be going ahead with an order ATM.

Dealer told me yesterday that a standard car with a4.5k deposit was around £1400 a month on a pcp.
