i 'bought' mine on a BMW PCP on the day after Brexit day. Admittedly, its one of the last pre-LCIs on standard wheels, but i got some change from 32k on the deal from the BMW dealer. I pay 420 p.m. and its still under the extended warranty and service pack they threw in to seal the deal...

As good as the F90 will be (and i am sure it will), i will see this lease deal out to the bitter end. Never again will i get so much car fro this price... Pleased with how i negotiated, sad that what ever i replace it with will be double the cost...

I have 75k on my M5 which was delivered new in March 2015. Not trading it any time soon - I know I'd be in for the spanking of my life.

It's heavy on fuel, but what a car to do it in.
Fair play mate, you actually use & enjoy your car, not having it tucked up doing <5000 miles a year whilst suffering driving a diesel rep box for most of the time...

I bought my F10 M5 to use as a daily, ok it's horrific on fuel, but every drive is fun, and it's a great place to be from crappy traffic jams to 3am empty road blasts, epic car all round.

Glad to hear you're still getting on with it. Some people change cars frequently but I feel really at home in the M5, its the perfect no-nonsense all-rounder.

Will be interesting to see if BMW offer similar levels as they did on the F10

Had an interesting chat very recently with an ex BMW sales manager who's still dealing in cars.

In his words dealerships were "on their knees" and new car sales volumes were "through the floor". Uncertainty around the economy etc etc. Suggested lots of stock was being moved on as "ex demo" with losses and if looking to buy should you expect heavy discounting or plenty of "nearly new" options. Not sure if this is what is actually out there in reality but this was his view so maybe worth bearing in mind.

He is correct and all BMW dealers are offering zero % interest on "M' cars till end of month, they are in a Panic as are ALL dealers.

Let's hope this plays into my hands with deals being offered on the first F90 M5's.

When I was getting my car serviced they refused the BMW car club member discount, which they are normally happy to do.

I also overheard the sales guy lamenting that they had not sold a single new M4 this year, which I actually still find hard to believe.

Something like the 6th straight month in a row of falling cars sales in the UK, the launch of the F90 reminds me of the e92 m3 launched into the teeth of the 2007/8 crash, I picked a new one up for 39k against a retail of 53k IIRC.

I think they are going to have to offer a big discount and 0% to shift any volume or just cut back on their numbers for the F90 in the UK, 90k is a chunk of money for a 5 series even a 600hp one.

Then again they only sell 600 M3s a year so I guess their target for the M5 will be around half that.

Bargain!

Nearly 18k in, no discount, 30k residual after 4 years on a 90k car, 5.9% apr, what's not to like.

I’m probably going to end up buying one of these. I came out of a new M5 (0% PCP and about 16% off list) after three very happy years into a new M4 CP and I miss the size and power of the M5. However, I’ll wait until I can get another 0% finance deal with another big discount. If I can’t get that level of discount for whatever reason, and I agree that fewer RHD cars may be made if demand isn’t there, then I think it’s time to look at the RS6 which I’ve always admired. Or maybe even an E63S estate. Apart from anything else, the new M5 looks the same and it’s got the same engine.

I did the same I had an M5 on the same deal came out into an M3, I do miss the interior and grunt of the M5 but I've tweaked the M3 so it now handles incredibly well so that's the trade off for me.

A friend has a C7 RS6 I've driven it a few times, lovely car but it drives like an Audi which is different to an M, but the traction/interior and looks are spot on with the RS.

I think the new F90 is going to be a beast in headline grabbing 0-60 times and drag races on carwow, but to dear for me.

What is the standard spec list price with no options. I think the F10 was £75K when I leased one

Mine was £73 (or near as) with 20” wheels and privacy glass so I’m guessing the list was about £70k?

They were £73k list when I bought mine in early 2015 (LCI) with 20" wheels approximately £2k extra

Was yours pre-LCI?

I like the heavily uplifted spec on the F90 so wouldn't mind paying more for one than the F10 - if BMW are providing £15k discount and 0% in a few years time I can see myself getting one.

I think mine was £75 wilh sthe 20" wheels and tow bar (£900?)

Thats a 21% increase .. however they were a bit of a bargain when you think of it now

It is a big leap, but seems competitively priced compared to the Merc E63s, Panamera Turbo/S, Tesla P100D and Audi RS6/7.

IF we don't get deal on Brexit, the prices of ALL imported German Cars will increase a lot, you can forget big discounts those days will have long gone.
