Excuse my laziness but are these alot more reliable now than the e60 v10 days?
I believe so. However I bought my car from an independent dealer outside the BMW network and as there is a lot more tech involved I have still taken out the BMW warranty as a safety net. I had bills approaching £10K with my E63 M6 all covered without quibbleStever said:

I had a BMW salesman say they won't provide warranty on a car if not bought from their own network??MKA29 said:

Congratulations !I must admit it looks identical to my Imperial Blue / Silverstone Leather M6 GC.
Enjoy it !
Cant stand dull grey or black interiors or the shouty, leary bright oranges or reds (except on the old sl55) but dark exteriors are a pain to wash and get stoopid hot when you live in hot climes..

Any interior shots? Only thing that puts me off with bmw (and most german manufacturers tbh) is no light exterior with cream or ivory interior, volvo, jag, lexus do it so why not zee germans? Yet a8 and 7ers you can get with this combo, (don't want that size car though.)

I don't have any pictures of the interior, but just taken a minute to check on BMW used approved and three of the first four cars that come up when I search with my post-code all have a light interior (Silverstone).Cant stand dull grey or black interiors or the shouty, leary bright oranges or reds (except on the old sl55) but dark exteriors are a pain to wash and get stoopid hot when you live in hot climes..
My car has individual Opal White which has contrasting stitching and looks a bit better IMO but looks like it will be more difficult to keep clean.
My prior M5 was Silverstone exterior and interior - I see that some of the M6s are similar colour combo, so you can get light exterior and interior

That's utter nonsense. I bought my last M6 private and the GC from an independent, both were accepted without quibble. However, it does need to have been fully serviced and it helps if this is Full Main Dealer BMWSH. I also think the charge is slightly higher in the first year and if you bought and paid for it today the warranty wouldn't start until the 24th June (and would run to 23rd June 2019) for obvious reasons. I bought and paid for mine on 23rd May so today I can let my breath out even though the independent dealer would theoretically be on the hook for the first 6 months and did give me a 12 month warranty but the claim limit on that was £1,000 per claim which we all know doesn't go very far on these cars. The emergency service is IMO well worth adding too.

Like you I don't like dark interiors, I love my lairy red one. My mate has silverstone in his Alpina and calls it the gentlemans club interior whereas he refers to mine as the Raymond Revue Bar interior Cant stand dull grey or black interiors or the shouty, leary bright oranges or reds (except on the old sl55) but dark exteriors are a pain to wash and get stoopid hot when you live in hot climes..

Manufacturers - 3 years from new
Approved Used - only available on cars bought from BMW dealers (I think this is what your dealer meant)
Insured Warranty - available on all cars
I bought my M5 from an indepenent dealer at 2.5 years old and I had no problem getting the insured warranty when the manufacturers one ran out.
I bought one of these yesterday and am pleased today it's an absolute machine !!
San Marino blue
White (NOT sure of the actual name of the colour ) FULL leather with piano black
HK
LCI wheels
I've cone from a 640d GC and the cars are worlds apart in pretty much all respects.
I'll due a full review with pics once the car is cleaned up and presentable

Are cooled and massage seats possible? Anyone have them?
May seem a strange comparison but I’m weighing it up against an xjr, love the look of both, power wise nothing in it (not concerned about 10ths of seconds) but questioning comfort, noise (cabin)and toys level between them
(exhaust is modifiable so not bothered)

I have ventilated and massage seats.
The cooling effect is not great, but the air movement helps quite a bit when it's hot. You can get them coded to blow significantly colder.
The massage seats do help on a long journey, the left and right side of the base move up and down alternately. I suspect that they make the seats a little harder then standard, but I've not done a back to back comparison.
