Was he a lunatic or were you not even trying?
He was an utter lunatic who'd happily kill himself to be able to say "I kicked an M6s ass" when in the pub

The San merino blue sure attracts idiots !!
Any 'sporty' looking BMW encourages people who want to race. They assume because you own a fast car that you want to drive like a loon everywhere. Either that or they assume any 'sporty' looking BMW has a 2.0d engine in it, which is mostly true.

That, and the A6 3.0TDi isn't slow so he's probably used to 'winning'.

Would love an M6 GC and would be the go-to saloon if you needed to fit a wife and two kids in. They are MASSIVE though!

Well I'd thought I'd give an eBay carbon boot spoiler a whirl.....if it's crap I'll return....if not I'll fit it and post some pics on here......

8ve for some black grilles too but they don't cone with the m6 badge...and the original grille badge appears deleted to the chrome grilles so can't be detached......I can't find any my badge for the F series for sale other than the e24 which is no good to me !!
Hi Turboman

I like the look of the boot spoiler and wonder how you got on with the Ebay version? It doesn't seem to be available anymore from BMW shop anyway.

Have to say really struggling with traction with temps below 4 degrees. Even trying to be very gentle with the trottle gets you no where.
Anything above 6 or 7 seems managable. Below that get a little tricky.

Might just need to fork out for a set of winters even thought I have never ever felt like I needed them before. Always managed completely fine by adjusting my driving style.

After three years in my F10 M5 I became quite accustomed to feathering the throttle however lower temperatures made life somewhat ‘intereting’ as you suggest.

Once I went onto winters it was night and day and worth every penny. They always felt a bit more wobbly and soft but the grip in st and cold weather was really good.

I will be putting winter tyres on my M5 soon. I used them last year and they totally transform it. You can pretty much drive it as you would in the summer.

They do get a bit 'loose' over 7 degrees though.

I went with a square set up with 19 inch rims and 265 wide tyres all round. The car was awesome in the snow last winter.

For the people running winter tyres can I ask what tyres and does the square set up 19s not look small in the arches?

I'm running the OEM square 20 inch setup. The 19's won't fit over the Carbon Ceramic brakes. The only bit that looks odd is the rear inset, the wheels are designed so that the front and rear track is the same, the the rear wheels are set quite a bit further in than the summer setup.

Rear with winters

Rear with summers

I get excited every time this thread pops up - one of my all time favourite cars. Absolutely love them despite only seeing them in car parks or pictures, never been in one.

One day I'll have one! Just hopefully there will still be enough around!

Just bought a 1 year old M6 Coupe. Utterly pointless, huge car, no space, but it looks awesome, and goes like a train!

Super excited, pick it up on Friday

Great choice Matt post up some pictures when you can I never tire of looking at these

I've got a new enhanced CF diffuser fitted after a stupid Frenchman reversed mine over a concrete block. I'm still wondering about a boot spoiler and would like to know how others have approached this?

There seems to be a lack of coupes around. Where did you buy it from?

Bought it from the BMW dealer network. Was a cracking deal.

Yep, they clearly wanted it moved this year. The price was very good considering it is just 1 year old.

Not had the chance to take pics yet, as it’s either been dark or raining, but will.

It’s Silverstone II, black leather, most options and a service pack too which is a bonus!
