I looked like such a dick taking this photo.

Washed the cars this afternoon and its clearly visible its a massive car. My Mrs car here is a 330d estate and it looks tiny compared to the M6GC.

Oh and I've ordered an IPE exhaust because I'm such a chav.
Someone tell me off.

I for one compliment you. Cars like this need to sound way better from the factory but emissions and noise regs force them to kill the engine music

Such a good looking machine.

How's the ownership experience so far?
How is it versus what you thought it'd be like? (am I right in thinking you hadn't driven one before buying it?)

Absolutely love it. I haven't driven it in a spirited fashion just yet due to weather being rubbish over the last 2 weeks.

I am looking forward to experiencing 7k rpm + gear shifts and traction lol.

Overall. One of the best cars I've owned. Its so elegant and comfortable and at a push of a button it can be a brute.

I would throughly recommend one to anyone.

They only came out in 2013, you must've joined PH when you were in the womb.

It’s always interesting the features owners (and dealers!) claim to be ‘expensive options’ when they’re actually standard hehe
Sorry for the OT but...
I once test drove an Audi B7 RS4 and the seller, a sole-trader wannabe wheeler dealer geezer, very proudly claimed the car was a rare manual model and therefore commanded a premium rolleyes

That's good to hear. I'm actively looking now, and if the right spec comes up, I'll be putting down a deposit.

The problem is, I've got about 4 must haves in terms of spec (colour - facelift - <30k miles - 4-zone aircon), and with relatively few cars in existence, finding the right car is tricky even with a relatively unrestricted budget (all good cars seems to be £35-£45k).
And that's before any of the options I'd appreciate but not essential (BOSE, sunblinds, soft close doors, aerial view)

Question for owners - how much compromising did you have to do when you bought your cars? (versus your ideal spec) or did you get lucky?

I have the specs of all RHD M6 Gran Coupes. If you tell me the options you want I can find out how many vehicles have that spec. Obviously I can't tell you if they are for sale or what mileage they have, but it will give you an idea of how likely you are to find your ideal car.

In the spirit of the thread title,

I too, have Just bought an M6 Gran Coupe!!!

So excited. bounce

Thanks to everyone on this thread that has answered my daft questions, in particular RichardM5 who gave some amazing guidance offline.

Weirdly, after my question above (about finding the right car for you), it was the Unicorn spec I was looking for and, although the timing wasn't great, I didn't want to lose this car so I didn't and just bought it.

San Marino Blue, Silverstone Leather, Competition pack but with the 433 wheels!!
