Nah looks really nice does that. Private joke between me and Toby that's all. Annoyed I didn't get to see it Toby...

For some reason I am a 29 year old idiot and prefer driving hatch backs.

Evening all,

Just thought i'd share a couple of photos of my recent purchase. I'm so impressed with it. I sold my 997 911 and replaced this with it. Really enjoying it so far, my first M car and probably not my last! I added the proper carbon tip spoiler, which i think really compliments the car and matches the roof well.

photos aren't great!

Does anyone know how many M6 GC's there are in the UK? You don't see many on the roads?
That is absolutely stunning - perfection

I'm going to have one of these one day!

Just need to rob a bank first! Might ease myself into it with a normal 6 series in the NY.

Spoke to him the other day It was him. Said hed given an m5 driver the thumbs up and got all defensive about it. Lazy cretin takes weeks to respond to anything so it'll be 6 months before he responds here.

Do you think the Competition Pack and the B and O Hi Fi are worth the extra price? I am negotiating with Coopers as they have a pre reg one. I might change my M3 CP for it.

Personally yes, my dad's one (imola red one) has the Comp pack and for 6k more i think you get quite a lot. 600hp, way better sounding exhaust, different damping and lower suspension. As for the B&O, its a personal choice, i do lots of miles in my car and love my music so for me it was a no brainer. If your not into sound systems and music then probably not, as the Harmon Kardon is very good.

Does the M6 GC have split folding rear seats as standard?

Becoming very tempted by these and thinking about swapping my M5 for one.

Well I have bought an M6 GC today.

Had been watching the AUC cars for a while, debating a one year old vs pre-registered but, to cut a long story short, got a curve ball from my dealer who offered a great deal on an unregistered car that trumped the other options I was considering.

So the car is Blue Hera with Opal white interior, Comp pack, B&O and a range of other bits and pieces.

Should be collected by the end of the month and pictures will follow.

So now just putting my Pistonheads advert together to sell my beloved F10 M5 - my daily driver for nearly 6 years. Its going to be cheaper than any other UK car by at least a few thousand and its got a very high spec - even just put on two new tyres and did laser alignment - so if you know anyone looking, point them in my direction. If it doesn't go in the next week, it will be part exchanged.

Piano Black interior trim if it's the one I think it might be. Looks lovely! It would be interesting to see Blue Hera against San Marino.

Yes it does have piano black but I haven't seen the car yet or even any pictures, its unregistered and in Sytner stock.

Had to google Hera Blue - and doesn't look a million miles away from San Marino Blue that I like. In pictures it looks quite similar to Sepang Blue that my wife has on her TTS.

whats the reliability like on these?

I have never owned a BMW, so all I have to go on is the reputation that people say they break down every other month!

Over 3 years and 57000 miles, no mechanical issue. Only error message ever received in anger other than very regular low fuel alert and regular oil top up alerts: “can I please top up coolant”

Just make sure you’ve got some good alloy wheel repair cover on this car

Thanks for the replies^^. I guess I've heard tales from the previous generation M6, sounds like things have improved

What year were your cars manufactured?

Im debating one of these or a ford mustang GT, two completely different cars!

Well my M5 was sold today - basically same drivetrain as the M6 GC. Over nearly 6 years and 66,000 miles I have had a few minor issues. In summary, one of the most reliable cars I've owned.
