M2 used prices post Competition

Not selling mine for a while, I'd only be bothered if the prices collapsed permanently.

I've just bought in at £41.8k new for a £52k list car .
I was kinda hoping I didn't like the car in flesh after leaving a deposit over phone and hearing all the competition talk. But it looked great in the flesh , drove well ( although didn't open it up as only 25miles ) And it justed seemed a great chunk of car for only £42k . So I pick it up Wednesday .
By the time competitions start getting delivered there will be another summer over ....
Although none of that helps with a future values discussion .....

Not this old chestnut again..... the market will be flooded in 9 months for what is not much more than a heavier, face-lifted model imo.With prices in the mid 30’s, the smart money is on investing in a second hand M2, putting some decent shockers on it along with a remap and you will have a lighter and probably better car than the new competition for £20k less. But it won’t be the latest shiny thing so hardly anyone will do it..

Do you have a product in mind that you'd reccomend? I have been thinking of doing this, do you think it would help with putting the power down? since the remap its quite bad on anything except a snooker table flat roadThanks

Brilliant car and I picked it over the M4 due to it's size.I've just bought in at £41.8k new for a £52k list car .

A little softer than my 1M was but love the DCT.
Loved my M135i for what it was but M2 is another league. Obvs.
One regret would be buying new (nice discount) rather than pre-reg but I was after a certain spec and it's rare for that.
As long as mine's worth £25k in 4 years time, I'll be happy.
It will be probably not as effective as stickier tyres and a gentle right foot. once you are past peak torque you can be a little more agressive on the throttle.
Regarding dampers, any damper with decent valving on both bump and rebond. Separate low speed bump and rebound control will be overkill on the road but useful on the track. I will probably use KW clubsport because its a very good value packageand the valving is particularly good. With an open budget JRZ, Moton or Penske but to make an M2 a very nice car, you really dont need them

I've heard, albeit from someone who heard from someone else, that a number of BMW dealers have had deposits cancelled by prospective buyers who submitted their deposit months ago in the hope for something more bespoke than what was released, and have been left a bit disappointed.
Disclaimer: I think the new M2 Comp looks great so I'm not complaining.

I agree that a run-out pre reg/low miler looks a good buy for the money.
