Sorely tempted by the look of this, despite the interior colour:-

Are M635 prices really that far below E28 M5 prices, or is this one likely to be an extreme rustbucket...?

E24 prices tend to be lower than E28 simply because of the number of each that have survived.

That said, £17k seems cheap.

Auction estimates are generally ‘enticingly low’ to get you bidding - an indie would have this up for at least twice that wouldn’t they?

I think estimate was £14-16K, £17,050 was the actual sale price. Be interesting to see where it surfaces next.

Blimey, what a steal!
Not the greatest of colour combos but cheap nonetheless

M635 prices have been lagging behind E28 M5 prices for quite some time, probably due to the E28 M5 being much rarer.

187 (German built) RHD E28 M5's with only about 100 in varying states left.

Vs

524 RHD E24 M635 CSi's with a lot now rusted away and quite a few gone to Australia.

M635 prices have of late firmed up quite a lot.

IMHO, I still think they are undervalued when compared to other first generation M cars.

Well, that *really* didn't take long. https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1001941

"private seller". Pfffft. Hasn't even been arsed to take any new photographs.

£30,000 ONO.

You'd think that with even a fairly modest brain, they'd realise that most people who like / buy these cars will be aware of a) where this seller bought it and b) how much he paid? I totally understand folk making a profit but calling yourself a private seller and being too lazy to take new photos is taking the piss. Even if it is one of the best out there, which it isn't.
