I was planning on just getting a set of winters to swap over when the time is right, another set of alloys is a big outlay.
As most tyre fitters are incapable of doing so without chunking your rims then you're taking a chance every time in my experience. And with 4 wheels that's 4 x the chance of damage.

Yes, a 2nd set of wheels is an outlay, but they'll always sell on.

What are people doing for winter tyres?
Me nothing, my DD is a 4motion T6 van with all-seasons on.

But, if I relied on the M2 I'd go with a proper set of BMW 19" winter fitment wheels and Michelin Alpins as I used to have on my 335i Tourer..

I’ve just put a set of 20” Alpins on my M4. However, i know my fitter. I just missed a set with wheels (19”) for £1600, so bit the bullet and bought the 20’s. Were reassuring in -1 this morning.

I've bought a spare set of wheels for winter tyres too. Does anyone know the correct TPMS sensors to order and cheapest place for them?

ha ha - was going to say he's a bit of a twunt but it's interesting to see what Manhart have squeezed out of the M2C already.

I picked up a pre-reg car last week - first impressions are great!

I wondered if anyone had removed the front numberplate plinth? Are there visual holes in the bumper?

Not having plinth fitted, ordered a vinyl number plate to fit to the front bumper. Saw a brand new M2C with plinth fitted on the piss but now the holes are there and can only be rectified by drilling another hole above.

Plinth is screwed to the bumper yes.

Pretty hard to fit it crooked as its shaped to fit the contours of the bumper, but dealers are pretty bad at most things....

But how do they get it in the centre?

Line it up with grill centre i suppose? It can't be that hard, most cars these days have a plate holder fitted.

I initially asked the dealership not to fit the plinth on my OG M2, thinking I’d get them to stick the plate on using double-sided tape. However, having seen one fitted, I decided not to worry about it. If it was wrong, I’d get them to redo it.

2 months later someone reversed into my front bumper while the car was parked leading to a replacement bumper cover, but I decided I liked the plinth.

Mines arrived! 2 year lease from the recent deals. Very hard to photo the car but it looks muscly in the flesh. Love it!

Nice one, did you have it delivered or did you collect it? Any optional extras added? I've got a 2 year lease deal M2C arriving in April.

Saw my first one in the flesh out in the wild today (Blue, possibly Laguna Seca?), looked very good indeed. At the time of starting this thread my next car was definitely going to be a M2 Comp, however as written in other threads I have now purchased a pre reg 18 plate M4 CP which is stunning in Austin yellow. I feel like a traitor to this thread now, but will continue popping back now and then.

Delivered - drove it about 8 miles around my local area last night and putting into daily service tomorrow. No optional extras other than heated seats (for the wife) and I suppose the DCT but that was part of the lease deal..

OK cool, did it arrive on a flatbed or was it driven down?
