I picked up a cracking deal last month from Stratstone- they briefly increased their deposit contribution to hit overall Q3 targets. ASFAIK they still offer the best advertised deal with £9200 contribution which translates to £549 dep/£549 month on a DCT. I've been tracking deals for over a year and Stratstone are almost always cheapest. Try Adam Robinson @ Stratstone Harrogate 01423 855500. I think the (Stratstone at least) cars are selling fast and as the OP said there are pre-reg's due so I think anything not sold by the end of the month will be pre-reg'd- which is fine but only if BMW UK offer the low APR on used which they did do during Q3 but is generally quite rare.

Forgive me if this is a daft question but where is the best place to find these deals? If I look on the BMW AUC website everything is showing representative 10.9% apr ... do I have to go to the effort of going into the dealer and speaking to someone to get the best deals? The deal you mentioned above was that on Stratstone's website?

I got £11k+ discount last month from Stratstone (Doncaster - Chris Williams).Harrogate were also excellent, just didn't have the colour I was after otherwise I would have happily bought from them.

Which colour were you after? Long Beach Blue is the only one I would NOT consider.Harrogate were also excellent, just didn't have the colour I was after otherwise I would have happily bought from them.

Thanks a lot. My local dealer is a Rybrook so as a back stop when haggling I can offer them to match this. as7920 said:

It was always LBB for me. White on a BMW isn't my thing. At 45 I'm too old and white for a black one. Not a fan of ginger but the HS is nice.

Indeed we do. Colour is a very personal preference. It was always LBB for me. White on a BMW isn't my thing. At 45 I'm too old and white for a black one. Not a fan of ginger but the HS is nice.
Never too old for any colour! I was 45 when I had my M135i in white, now 49 and have my M3 in grey. White is the classic motorsport look but it hides the M2's lovely curves and haunches. Mineral grey on my M2 LCI was perfect, should have kept it for competition.
I love blue, my E91 was Le Mans blue but I'm not a fan of how LBB looks too turqoiuse/teal in dull conditions. Nice when it's sunny and bright but that's my taste. Not a fan of Misano either.
Bmw makes some great blues but think they let the M2 down with the two blue choices they've offered IMO.

Would be interested in your views in comparison to the e92 m3.
I find the M2 Comp very different to drive compared to the E92 M3. The E92 has primary cat delete, 2 pipe exhaust mod and stage 2 tune. So just from an aural experience point of view the E92 is more of an occasion to drive. Throttle response is pin sharp compared to the slight turbo lag in the M2 (made worse by short shifting during running in period). The M2 feels a lot smaller, more nimble, the steering is sharper and naturally being brand new everything is super tight. In reality the two cars are very similar in size. The extra torque of the M2 makes it more relaxing and less effort to drive quickly (both cars are manual), requiring less gear changes. The M2 gear change is much improved over the E92 even though the latter has the clutch stop and F10 M5 gear knob fitted which improves things a lot over stock. Even into second gear the M2 is nice and smooth. That’s a first for a BMW manual in my experience!I plan to keep both cars for the long haul. The E92 M3 is the last naturally aspirated M engine and a V8 to boot! And the M2 is potentially the last manual M car to be made available in the UK. That’s something I’m very sad about. I’ve long been a vocal supporter and fan of manual gearboxes. I did test drive a DCT M2 as that is all that’s available and I was interested to see what all the hype was about but I hated it. I want a computer in charge of my gearchanges about as much as I’d want a computer to do my steering or braking. I just do not get it at all in a car which is supposed to be about driving enjoyment. However it seems that I’m in such a minority in this country that BMW are not even going to bother offering manuals in future. I still hold out some hope for the replacement M2 being offered in manual but wouldn’t bet on it.

That is bloody lovely. Only car in the range I'd trade the Z4m in for.

Yeah, they're quite sexy
In the process of getting a paint correction and ceramic done on mine (and a skin??). It's all complete dutch to me and personally I cannot think of anything worse than obsessing over detailing a car, but it looks nice. But you know it's bad when they start sending you photos of the inside of the exhaust pipes
I went in hoping that it would make washing my car easier (I hate washing my car), but now I suspect I'll be guilted into doing it more often. Maybe.
He'll have had it five days by the time he's finished. £350 including materials for ceramic inside and out plus the fitted and spare set of wheels. I actually feel guilty.

Be interesting to see what products have been used and what stage of correction was required. Not trying to be funny, but £350 is very cheap. Looks like Gyeon(?) judging by the bottle he's sent a photo of?
You should have seen where I dropped the car off!
He's a friend of my brother in law generally but also does his cars as well.
