Does anyone have an Akrapovic Slip-on installed?
I'm toying with the idea of upgrading the exhaust on my M2C.
I can't afford the full evolution system but might be able to stretch to the slip-on.
Does anyone else here have this setup?
I would be interested to know how you have found it?
Is there much difference from stock?
Is it always loud, or just when in Sport?

One of my friends had this setup on his M2c. It’s quiet in efficient and decently loud with the valve open, he’s very happy with it. I'm toying with the idea of upgrading the exhaust on my M2C.

Just want to check these are the right ones everyone bangs on about as being the best for the rears?

Just so your aware, 275 will also fit and oddly always seem to be about 10-20£ a tyre less. So wider tyre, less stretch look, and lower price. Win Win Win. https://www.blackcircles.com/catalogue/michelin/pi...
We have just collected a new M2C. Fantastic deal, both packs, in AW.
Wasn't able to get a test drive due to 'the situation' but I thought it would be a similar steer to our F80 M3 so felt comfortable to buy without a drive.
I couldn't have been more wrong.
Does anybody else find the steering weird? It reminds me of an old car with a worn steering box. Very vague, with a slight delay to any inputs. Seems to need slightly preloading, like there is loads of play around the straight ahead. It is so massively different to any of my previous BMWs, and there is even less feel than previous front & four wheel drive cars, which I wouldnt have thought possible.
Checked tyre pressures, and of course I will mention it at the RIS but I expect it will be a case of 'they are all like that sir'.
I havent seen any mention of this peculiar steering from any reviewer, except by Jay Emm when I looked on YT yesterday. His credibility as a driver / reviewer has increased in my estimation for picking up on this but it doesnt help me now!
Dont know if I can live with this peculiar steering on a daily driver.
Interested to hear what others think of the steering.

There is a general lack of feedback through the steering wheel as a result of it being electric, but I certainly don't have any play or sloppiness in the steering which is what I think you're suggesting?
I'm post RIS, so mine's been driven enthusiastically on bumpy b roads and never felt anything like that.
If it were a characteristic of the steering generally I would have thought it would have been picked up by the expert reviewers (i.e. not Jay Emm, but then again I'm biased as can't stand his reviews/drivel ).
Likewise I can't imagine the M2C steering is any different (other than adjustable dampers and minor camber/toe settings) from the CS that won ECOTY.
As above, I'd get the alignment checked. Ideally at the supplying dealer's cost.

As mentioned temperature etc can have a noticeable effect on these cars and i have found mine quite sensitive to tyre pressures.
I haven't experienced any "sloppyness" i find it rather direct and easy to have confidence in. It is night and day better than the M140i steering.
Its probably on supersports which if you bring up the tyre temperature info, as they get warmer they will improve dramatically. Get these in the 20C+ range and you will see why they are so popular. Very hard to do this time of the year.
You can use the different steering settings and it will remember how you left it. I have it set to "sport" for steering in all modes. I am not a fan of steering weights changing and rather a consistent use.
Sport seems to sharpen it up without adding the unnatural heavy / gloopy feeling of sport plus.

Do you know how loud it is? Is it track day friendly?
I really couldn’t say I’m afraid. With the car in efficient mode it’s only slightly louder than stock, albeit with a deeper rumble, but when you hit 5k revs the valves open up (as they do with the standard exhaust) and it gets quite fruity.
Obviously in sport or plus, the valves are open.
