HI folks. New poster here!
Tomorrow I'm collecting a 67 plate M4 Competition Coupe. As a 47 year old male with 20+ years NCB I'm very surprised (not pleasantly) with the quotes I'm getting. Even with a £500 xs 10k miles per annum I'm struggling to get a quote (protected) below £800. Any suggestions gratefully received. I have left it a tad late so I thought I'd come to you knowledgeable bunch!

I found Admiral Multicar was really cheap...£250pa with limited miles. Web based LV was good with just the two cars.

I would have thought around £450pa is about right....add the wife to the policy etc they seem to like that.

I'm 45 and had 10 years NCB to use. Adding a M4CP Convertible to the Aviva multi-car policy (wife main driver, 5k miles pa, value £50k, parked on drive) was another £250.00 for the year. Nth Cambs

Mine was £1180 for my 2017 M4 convertible comp pack.

However I am 29 (but have 7 years NCB). Car kept in secure parking. With Aviva.

Hoping it drops a bit next year!

It’s not the same car, but when I bought a 335d. I was getting wild quotes. Ended up giving BMW a try and Was pleasantly surprised. Might be worth a try.

I would suggest giving A-Plan Thatcham a call - they specialise in high performance and modified cars.

I am 44 with only 5 years NCB (previously all company cars), lots of modifications declared including engine remap and they've insured me for £700, protected NCB, £500 excess, international driving and business use.

That’s on a new M4CP. I didn’t find it really any different to the M240i beforehand

Try Aviva, I've just insured 18 plate M4 CP with them for £600, with £350 XS. Only £150 more than out going M135.

I would hope the OP has already sorted insurance considering he picked the car up 3 months ago!

I am 56 and pay £417 for my 2016 M2.
My wife drives a 2011 Mazda 2 with 75bhp.
My wife told her insurance company that she will sometimes drive my M2,their reply was suprising,"If you have the confidence to drive a car like that we will reduce your premium"
Should I tell my insurance company I drive a Veyron and am going to upgrade to a Chiron!

Have you spec'd comfort access? Extra £££ being added due to further rises in keyless thefts exploiting these systems....

Hi there! New member here...
I’ve just bought a new f83 m4 Competition Convertible.
It was a challenge to insure (it’s my second car) - and they are one of the most stolen cars because of the key-cloning issues.
I ended up at just over a grand, and had to have a tracker fitted.

Love the car though...
