Hello all,
I have just bought this car and am getting this exclamation mark up next to the gear display as you can see. Can anyone shed light on this? What is it? Can it be sorted easily?!
I notice there is a lack of power as in acceleration and it’s got quite a lag when throttling the pedal quickly. It’s automatic so I realise being an older car it might have a little lag but it does seem to be more than it should. If anyone could give us a bit of advice that would be great.
Thanks

Is there a error message display somewhere ? If you have on board computer it's usually under vehicle status.

You’re getting warmer... wink

OP - it’s cold out - your car thinks it’s 0.5 degrees. It should do the low temp ‘bong’ on starting it, and that’s going to remain there. There are many other possible things (low washer fluid, etc), but that’s #1 in terms of likelihood right now!

This site explains how to display 'check control' messages.

http://www.endtuning.com/ccidcodes.html

The BC 'stalk' is on the front of the indicator stalk (it also cycles through things like oil level and dash illumination). The indicator stalk is that unused lever on the left side of the steering column biggrin

As above, go into 'Check Control' on the on-board computer to find out what it's warning you about.

Push the toggle switch up or down on the indicator stalk until you see 'Check Control' then press OK/Enter by pushing the button on the end of the indicaotr stalk. You should then see what the warning relates to.

I had this issue on my new-to-me 335i on the drive home. I was on reserve fuel and thought filling the fuel tank would clear it, but it turned out it was trying to tell me my screenwash was low. It's not very intuitive!

Your next service is approaching it's due time. When the triangle turns red it's due. Or so I learned...

The risk-of-road-ice triangle displays a snowflake in the middle.

Thanks all for the replies. Followed the instructions went into check control pressed BC and the display changed to a lightbulb. Held BC in for 3/4 seconds and the codes CC-ID 134 and CC-ID 136 Showed. Yes it all does seem very vague. I have read up that these codes are light bulbs on their way out. Or could be an electrical fault as someone has replaced all bulbs cleaned and cleared the computer and the ! still wouldn’t go so I read. I looked around the whole car last night with all lights on and every one of them seem ok. Maybe just a electrical/computer thing

My E92 is currently shouting at me over lights, says my DRL/Sidelight is out on the right but it's a slightly dim LED, left break light is out (which is isn't) and one popped up for a fog light without even pressing it.

Planning on upgrading to LCI lights at some point...

It's not vague at all. You've got two codes for blown bulbs. The bulbs will have gone, they don't give you any warning that they're going to go. You've got a right and a left brake light failure.

There are two bulbs on each side, so one on each side will have blown.

I had a similar warning. I went into iDrive menu, and found it was low fuel warning. Well, hush my mouth! The fuel gauge tells me that, and the distance to empty jumps in on the display at 50 miles and counts down. I have written to BMW to state this is overkill.

You’ve actually written to them about that?

Now that’s overkill.......
